Abstract: A mobile computing device includes a wireless communication unit connected to a central server, a touch screen, and a processing unit that is programmed to generate a user interface on the touch screen. The user interface includes a plurality of elements that trigger the processing unit to execute instructions when touched. A touching of one of the elements causes the processing unit to generate an updated user interface displaying an element associated with content prompting a future transaction. The content is generated at the central server according to user profile data. The content generated at the first time has a higher correlation to the user profile data at the first time than that at the second time, and the content generated at the second time has a higher correlation to the user profile data at the second time than that at the first time.

  • Publication number: 20150356540
Abstract: An electronic receipt management server includes a network controller and a processor. The network controller receives first and second electronic receipt data from a first store server and a second store server, respectively. The same product is identified by a first product name in the first electronic receipt data and by a second product name, different from the first product name, in the second electronic receipt data. The processor is configured to maintain a table having multiple mapping entries, each associating a unified product name to a plurality of different product names, to convert the first and second product names into an associated unified product name according to the table, and to transmit through the network controller, the first and second electronic receipt data, each containing the associated unified product name in place of the first and second product names, respectively, to a mobile computing device.

  • Patent number: 9152274
Abstract: An optical touch panel apparatus for detecting a position of a light blocking object on a flat panel 2 includes a plurality of light emitting elements and light receiving elements arranged along a side of the rectangular flat panel 2. The optical touch panel apparatus sets a peripheral area on the flat panel 2, and performs position detection in an area other than the peripheral area while not performing position detection within the peripheral area. The peripheral area is an area proximal to the light emitting elements or light receiving elements, in which resolution for position detection is deteriorated and unsatisfactory light blocking is likely to occur. By limiting the area for which position detection is performed to the area other than the peripheral area, deterioration in resolution for position detection and occurrence of unsatisfactory light blocking can be prevented, making it possible to stably perform position detection.

  • Patent number: 9099042
Abstract: A high luminance display apparatus is provided. When a spectral radiance of a backlight at a time point of factory shipment is less than a spectral radiance of external light, a CPU generates a correction matrix for performing color correction so that color produced by external light, i.e., color produced by reflection light of external light by a half mirror conforms to color produced by only irradiation light of the backlight, transmits the generated correction matrix to a video image signal processing section as parameter information, and causes execution of color correction based on the parameter information. The CPU generates a correction matrix based on a spectral radiance of external light detected by a second spectral radiance sensor, a spectral radiance of the backlight detected at the time point of factory shipment, and spectral transmittance of a color filter as well as a color-matching function.

  • Publication number: 20150097813
Abstract: The optical touch panel device can optically detect a position of an object on a display screen at a plurality of kinds of position-detection resolutions, and sets a position-detection resolution according to a screen resolution of the display screen or an image resolution of an image to be displayed on the display screen. The optical touch panel device sets the position-detection resolution so that an average value of distances between optical paths used for position detection over the whole display screen is smaller than a dot pitch or a pixel pitch and is as close as possible to the dot pitch or the pixel pitch. The capability of position detection matches the capability of image display in the optical touch panel device, thereby user does not have a feeling of strangeness about an image displayed according to position-detection resolution.

  • Patent number: 8478103
Abstract: A video apparatus includes signal control unit that outputs an image signal in a plurality of formats. An interface unit connects the video apparatus to a computer, and an interface control unit controls transmission of the image signal to the computer. When the video apparatus has been connected to the computer through the interface unit, when the format of the image signal is switched, the interface control unit controls the interface unit so that the connection to the computer is disconnected without changing a physical connecting state. After the elapse of a predetermined period, the video apparatus is connected to the computer again without changing the physical connecting state.
