  • Publication number: 20070214267
Abstract: A security server monitoring device is provided that performs quick redistribution of loads when a server load increases due to virus infections. A security server performs a virus check on data flowing through a network, thus statistical data relating to detected viruses can be obtained. For example, future communication traffic and increases and decreases in server loads are predicted using statistical information such as the number of virus infections (number of virus infections per unit of time), and on the basis of this prediction, a security server allocated to a path is quickly changed from a security server in which a high load is predicted to a security server with a comparably low load.

  • Publication number: 20070202822
Abstract: If a sub broadcast is unavailable so a reception means receives the main broadcast instead of the sub broadcast, reception of the sub broadcast is booked. When the sub broadcast is booked and the sub broadcast becomes available, the reception means automatically receives the sub broadcast booked instead of the main broadcast. Accordingly, reception of the sub broadcast can start automatically when the sub broadcast starts, without inputting instructions to select the sub broadcast repeatedly, whereby operation performed by a user can be simplified.

  • Publication number: 20070170279
Abstract: A printer including a recording head, a flushing box and a movement mechanism is disclosed. The recording head has a nozzle-forming surface in which nozzle openings are defined and ejects a liquid through the nozzle openings. The flushing box has an opening corresponding to the nozzle openings and is capable of receiving the liquid ejected from the nozzle opening as a waste liquid. The movement mechanism moves the flushing box between a receiving position at which the flushing box is capable of receiving the waste liquid and a non-receiving position at which the flushing box is incapable of receiving the waste liquid. The receiving position is a position at which the opening is closely opposed to the nozzle-forming surface, and the non-receiving position is spaced from the receiving position.

  • Patent number: 7244013
Abstract: A printer includes a cleaning mechanism that reliably performs an operation of cleaning a liquid ejecting head with a small amount of driving energy. The cleaning mechanism includes a cap manufactured by coinjection molding of a core part and an elastic part. The cap includes a bottom surface, an outer wall, and a partition wall dividing a cap inner space surrounded by the outer wall into two. A ratio of the elastic part in the partition wall is higher than that in the outer wall. With this structure, the partition wall is more elastically deformable than the outer wall. When the cap comes into contact with a nozzle surface of a recording head and covers nozzle rows, the outer wall comes into contact with the nozzle surface with a larger stress compared with the partition wall, and seals chambers where the nozzle rows on the nozzle surface are exposed.

  • Publication number: 20070132337
Abstract: A rotor core which has relatively high rigidity, can ensure sufficient magnetic performance, and can be produced at a cheaper cost with a relatively small-scale facility. A claw-equipped core and a yoke are manufactured separately. After fitting the yoke to a fitting portion formed in the claw-equipped core, a part of the claw-equipped core in the vicinity of the fitting portion is axially pressed to plastically flow into an annular groove formed in the yoke, thereby integrally joining the claw-equipped core and the yoke to each other. Thus, a large-scaled manufacturing facility is not required, and claws of the claw-equipped core are hard to open in the radial direction even under the action of a centrifugal force during high-speed rotation. A stator core and the claws of the claw-equipped core can be positioned closer to each other, and deterioration of magnetic performance can be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20060280515
Abstract: A condition determination unit (102) determines a to-be-used copy-forgery-inhibited-pattern image from a first copy-forgery-inhibited-pattern image generated using a latent pattern designed as a pattern that becomes visible upon copy and a background pattern designed as a pattern that becomes invisible upon copy and a second copy-forgery-inhibited-pattern image generated using the latent pattern. A tint block image generation unit (105) generates the determined copy-forgery-inhibited-pattern image. A combining unit (106) combines the generated copy-forgery-inhibited-pattern image with a print target image. A print data processing unit (107) generates print data on the basis of the combined data and outputs the print data to a printer (108).

  • Patent number: 6921554
Abstract: Process gas supply/stop operations are intermittently performed. As the hydrophobic process progresses, the temperature of a gas contract portion of a wafer lowers. While the hydrophobic process stops, the temperature of the gas contact portion of the wafer rises to the original temperature. Thereafter, the hydrophobic process resumes. Thus, while the temperature of the gas contact portion of wafer is suppressed from largely lowering, the hydrophobic process can be performed. Thus, non-uniformity of the hydrophobic process on the front surface of the wafer is reduced.
