  • Patent number: 7199710
Abstract: A controller enabling switching between a smart function and an immobilizer function without using a key cylinder or a slot. The controller includes a verification ECU for transmitting a request signal to a first area and transmitting a transponder drive radio wave to a second area. The portable device transmits an ID code signal in response to the request signal or the transponder drive radio wave. The verification ECU enables the starting of an engine when the ID code transmitted from the portable device matches an ID code of the controller. The verification ECU transmits the drive radio wave when a driver operates a switch in a state in which the starting of the engine is not enabled after the request signal is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 7145264
Abstract: An electronic automobile anti-theft apparatus having high reliability includes a motor, which moves a lock pin to lock a steering shaft of an automobile. A solenoid maintains the lock pin in a state released from the steering shaft and operates to permit the lock pin to lock the steering shaft by receiving power. An ECU controls the operations of the motor and the solenoid. A mechanical switch stops supplying the solenoid with power to prevent unintentional locking by the lock pin when the automobile is being driven or when driving of the automobile is enabled.

  • Publication number: 20060148934
Abstract: A manufacturing process for a resin composition is provided, whereby it is possible to homogeneously knead particles and low-temperature decomposable additives into resins. First of all, a thermoplastic resin and an additive are pre-heated and mixed together, after which transition to the kneading step is carried out while the mixture is maintained in a heated state. Then, the mixture is kneaded under heating and molded by extrusion molding or the like to obtain the target resin composition. In the present invention, additives used in particulate form are not liable to cake and can be homogeneously kneaded in because the transition to the kneading step is carried out while the mixture is maintained in a heated state. Moreover, it is possible to knead in low-temperature decomposable additives because the heating temperature used for kneading can be reduced significantly in comparison with the conventional art.

  • Publication number: 20060089975
Abstract: An online system recovery method to address an error in an active online system, involves changeover to a stand-by online system to continue operation. Log information indicative of a history of a reference operation carried out in the active online system and log information indicative of a history of an update operation are transferred to the stand-by online system. The method also includes performing a tracing operation to make contents of an I/O buffer in the stand-by online system coincide with contents of an I/O buffer in the active online system according to the transferred log information. An operating state of the active online system executing a transaction operation is monitored. Upon detecting an error in the active online system, the stand-by online system continues the transaction operation using the contents of its I/O buffer.
