    Abstract: An airbag for an airbag device includes an outer bag and an inner bag inflatable inside the outer bag. The outer bag includes a driver-side wall for receiving the driver and a vehicle-side wall that is supported by a ring surface of a ring portion of the steering wheel at airbag deployment, and includes an inlet port of inflation gas and a mounting portion on the steering wheel. The inner bag includes a supply port for supplying the gas to the outer bag. The inner bag completes inflation prior to the outer bag, and the outer bag is inflated with the gas supplied from the supply port. The inner bag as inflated has such a shape that the rear portion protrudes farther rearward than a rear end of the ring surface, and that a height from the ring surface is greater in the rear portion than in the front portion.

The steering wheel further includes a cladding layer disposed around the wheel portion, a skin layer disposed on a front surface of the rim portion, and a sensor layer disposed between the cladding layer and the skin layer for detecting the driver's grip. The sensor layer includes a sheet-shaped substrate having stretch properties, a sensor composed of a conductive ink having stretch properties and applied to a front surface of the substrate, and an insulation sheet covering the sensor and having stretch properties. The sensor layer is generally formed into an annular band and mounted on an outer circumferential portion of the cladding layer by being stretched and expanded.

    Abstract: A substrate processing method performed in a chamber of a substrate processing apparatus is provided. The chamber includes a substrate support, an upper electrode, and a gas supply port. The substrate processing method includes (a) providing the substrate on the substrate support; (b) supplying a first processing gas into the chamber; (c) continuously supplying an RF signal into the chamber while continuously supplying a negative DC voltage to the upper electrode, to generate plasma from the first processing gas in the chamber; and (d) supplying a pulsed RF signal while continuously supplying the negative DC voltage to the upper electrode, to generate plasma from the first processing gas in the chamber. The process further includes repeating alternately repeating the steps (c) and (d), and a time for performing the step (c) once is 30 second or shorter.

An airbag base member for forming the airbag includes a top-forming panel for forming the top wall, and at least three circumferential panels that extend generally radially from the top-forming panel and form the circumferential wall by being joined together by adjoining edges thereof. Each of the circumferential panels is formed into a generally band-like contour which has a first and a second curving edges that make the circumferential panel enlarge in width from the leading end towards an intermediate portion and then narrow towards the top-forming panel. When the airbag base member is laid flat, adjoining edges of any two adjoining circumferential panels are generally symmetrical to each other in curving shape with respect to a line disposed there between.
