  • Patent number: 5529580
Abstract: A surgical resecting tool (1) whereby a cartilage, cartilage knob or tumor within a body cavity, for example, such articulation cavity as of a knee is resected from outside the body cavity without being incised and is taken out of the body cavity is provided with a rigid outer tube (4) removably provided in the front part of a body part (2) which is also a holding part and has a rotary power source 28. The outer tube (4) is provided with an opening (7) near the front end part and with a curved part 9 in the rear of the opening (7). The outer tube 4 is provided with a cutting part (13) in the front end part and is removably connected in the rear end part to the rotary power source (28) to resect a living body tissue by rotating and driving the cutting part (13). An inner tube (6) having a flexible part (12) at least in the position corresponding to the above mentioned curved part (9 ) is inserted through the outer tube (4).

  • Patent number: 5404005
Abstract: On the surface of a protecting layer mounted on a solid state imaging devices substrate, transparent gap filler layers and a transparent flattening layer are formed to flatten a surface of overlying protecting layer. On a surface of the transparent flattening layer, color filters of red, blue and yellow are formed. The color filters are made of synthetic photosensitive material. By using the synthetic photosensitive material, the color filters are formed with good shape and precision. All of the color filter show good photo spectrography and uniform characteristics. For the reasons, excellent characteristics of the solid state imaging device are provided which are free form image inferiority caused by flicker, shading, dust and so forth.

  • Patent number: 5158366
Abstract: A compact and inexpensive refractory monitoring temperature sensor and a compact and inexpensive refractory erosion location measuring device which can effect continuous detection of erosion over a wide range and specification of a location of an erosion and further can be re-used and used continuously. The temperature sensor includes at least two metal members and an insulating substance (2) filled between the metal members. The sensor detects a condition of an erosion of a refractory not from a melting breakdown of the sensor but from a variation in insulation resistance of the insulating substance which arises from a high temperature of the refractory due to erosion of the refractory. The measuring device incorporates such temperature sensor and discriminates an amount and a location of erosion of the refractory from a variation in insulation resistance between the metal members.

  • Patent number: 5123904
Abstract: A surgical resecting instrument whereby a cartilage, joint bump or tumor within a body cavity such as a joint cavity, for example, of a knee is resected from outside the body cavity without incising it and is discharged out of the body cavity has a body part providing a rotary driving connection and an insertable part to be inserted into a tissue within a living body attached to and extending from a front end part of the body part. The insertable part comprises a tubular outer tube opened in the tip part and forming an outer shell of the insertable part and an inner tube provided within the outer tube and rotated and driven by the rotary driving connection. An outer tubular blade is provided in the tip part of the outer tube. The tip of the outer blade is open and has a slot extending from the tip in a peripheral wall and forming a blade part at an edge of the slot.
