  • Patent number: 4087665
Abstract: A switching system comprises a switching mechanism including at least two stationary contact members, a movable contact and a rotatable switching member. The switching member rotates in one direction to urge the movable contact into contact with a first and then the second of the two stationary contacts and in the opposite direction to urge the movable contact into contact with the second and then the first stationary contact. A circuit has the two inputs thereof connected to the stationary contacts and has two outputs and is responsive to the order in which the first and second stationary contact members are contacted for generating an output signal at only a first of the two outputs when the rotatable switching member is rotated in one direction and for generating an output signal at only the second of the two outputs when the switching member is rotated in the other direction.

  • Patent number: 4085575
Abstract: A digital electronic timepiece has numeric display means for selectively displaying the time and a number representing the day of the week. In one position of a display selection switch, the display means displays hours and minutes. In another position of the display selection switch, the date and a number representing the day of the week are displayed by the same display elements as those displaying time. Display indicators controlled by the display selection switch indicate what is displayed by the display means.

  • Patent number: 4072004
Abstract: An electronic timepiece comprises a digital display device and electronic circuitry including a printed circuit board containing thereon a pattern of printed conductors connected to drive the digital display device. A cover member is disposed atop the timepiece casing and on a side portion of the cover member are mounted a plurality of depressable key switches, the key switches being mounted at a location overlying and spaced from the pattern of printed conductors. An electro-conductive rubber sheetlike member coacts with the cover member for both sealing in a water proof manner the region between the cover member and the timepiece casing and effecting electrical connection between individual ones of the key switches and the pattern of printed conductors in response to depression or actuation of the key switches.

  • Patent number: 4045951
Abstract: A digital electronic timepiece, including time measuring means, a display means for displaying a time determined by said time measuring means and for displaying time table information, a memory means for memorizing time table information, and a control means for controlling display of the contents of said memory means. When the time determined by the measuring means coincides with the displayed time information from the memory means, a control signal is applied to the memory means and the next successive time of the time table is displayed. The time information displayed may be time table information including train and working time.

  • Patent number: 4043112
Abstract: In an electronic timepiece including a driving circuit for developing display driving signals, and a time display receptive of the display driving signals for displaying time, a battery voltage level monitor. The battery voltage level monitor comprises a voltage detector operative to detect the voltage of a battery which powers the timepiece, and to develop a detector signal when the battery voltage is less than a certain value. The driving circuit includes a display signal control circuit which is responsive to the setting of a display restoring switch and the detector signal for interrupting the display driving signals applied to the display in response to the detector signal, in order to de-energize the display to indicate that the battery voltage is below the certain level.

  • Patent number: 3982387
Abstract: A solid state electronic timepiece has a second time display section comprised of a plurality of second display elements disposed on the surface of the watch face. The display elements are energized in sequence in a certain time interval so that the elapsed time is recognized by watching the sequential shift of the display pattern in combination with flashing, continuous lighting and lights out modes of energization of the second display elements.

  • Patent number: RE29250
Abstract: An electronic watch is provided with means for digitally displaying time and date and day of the week by means of liquid crystal display elements. The display provides an indication of the second, minute and hour as well as an indication of whether it is morning or afternoon. The calendar display includes a plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in matrix form having seven columns each representing a day of the week and five rows each representing the weeks of the month. A plate having the days and dates of the month to be displayed is mounted on said liquid crystal element matrix by suitable means.
