Abstract: The present invention provides an update detecting apparatus capable of properly extracting an important update. The update detecting apparatus includes a difference extracting unit, a morphological analyzing unit, and an update determining unit. The difference extracting unit extracts the difference between text data included in a server-side file and text data included in a cache file. The morphological analyzing unit divides the difference extracted by the difference extracting unit into words (morphemes) and generates a word group. The update determining unit determines that an update is performed in the server-side file when a word satisfying a predetermined condition is included in the word group generated by the morphological analyzing unit.

Abstract: Associated information is prepared and stored in a support information DB, the information being such that elements belonging to a plurality of element items respectively forming medical information on at least one patient are associated with each other between the items. Then, on a medical-support-information presenting screen displayed at a display unit, a selecting condition selecting one or more elements and an output target item are specified and input in response to user control. As a result, with respect to information that satisfies the selecting condition out of the associated information, the display unit visibly outputs statistical information about the output target item.

Abstract: The present invention provides a technique for supporting accurate and smooth creation of a report. Information in which elements belonging to items included in a plurality of items of elements constructing a report are associated with each other between the items is stored in an input support database. Partial information corresponding to an extraction condition designated by an input from an input client by the user is extracted from the input support database and visually output (displayed) in a view in a report creating area.

Abstract: In an information retrieval system for retrieving in a data group to be searched, which is stored in a database, a logic model expressing a logic guide in a searching process is developed by additionally registering synonyms and the like to a search keyword by a number of users. By temporarily registering a new data group to be edited into the database, a searching function obtained by developing the logic model can be used also for a searching process on the new data group.

Abstract: The present invention provides a medical support system capable of properly supporting entry of medical information by a medical professional. A medical support system stores, as medical data, first medical information entered by a medical professional as an operator, and second medical information entered without direct intervention of the medical professional. Further, the medical support system generates and outputs support information for supporting entry of the first medical information by the medical professional. In the medical support system, the support information is generated on the basis of the first medical information and second medical information being entered. Therefore, in the medical support system, when the first medical information and second medical information being entered changes, the support information to be generated also changes.

Abstract: An information retrieval system has a search history storage for storing information of the relation between a search condition entered by the user and selected paper data. In the search history storage, information of the relation between the search condition and a detailed search condition is also stored. The selected paper information and the detailed search information is updated on the basis of a screen transition instruction. The selected paper information is used for a searching process in a search engine and a screen generating process in an HTML document generator.

Abstract: The present invention provides a database system capable of dealing with dynamic changes in an event that vary continuously with time. A database system outputs a retrieval output from data in response to a user's retrieval request on the basis of a retrieval logic. The retrieval logic is allowed to evolve on the basis of a logical model. This logical model establishes a general relationship which leads results from conditions relating to a group of events that are dealt by a data group. Moreover, a database system optimizes a data structure on the basis of the logical model. The logical model can be transferred in a separated manner from the specific data contents of the data group. Therefore, the logical model can be exported to another database system of the same kind, and also imported from another data base system of the same kind.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal panel having first and second substrates, between which a liquid crystal layer and a seal wall surrounding the liquid crystal layer are sandwiched, includes the steps of (a) forming a seal wall precursor on the first substrate; (b) executing a preliminary hardening of the precursor; (c) laminating the first and second substrates with sandwiching the preliminarily and suitably hardened seal wall and a liquid crystal layer therebetween; and (d) executing, after step (c), a main hardening of the seal wall material. The invention is also directed to a manufacturing method of layered type liquid crystal panel including a plurality of such liquid crystal panels layered together.

The supplier further includes a supply station for supplying the liquid material to the surface of the liquid material holding member and a regulating member for regulating the liquid material on the liquid material holding member to a specified thickness. The regulating member is disposed at a position downstream of the supply station and upstream of the supply position in the direction of rotation of the liquid material holding member.
