  • Publication number: 20140182758
Abstract: An anti-skid device for tires is configured of elementary units. Each elementary unit has a first main body including: a first U-shaped portion that straddles sidewall parts of a tire; an inside front extending portion; and an outside rear extending portion, and a second main body in the same form. The first and second main body are connected with each other at the inward-facing side of the tire. This connection at the inward-facing side of the tire is performed using an inside front connector connected to the first main body, an inside rear connector connected to the second main body, and an inside coupling adjuster connected to them and capable of adjusting the distance (inside connecting length) therebetween. The adjuster can adjust the inside connecting length, so that attachability of the anti-skid device for tires can be maintained even if the tire outer diameter varies from an expected outer diameter.

  • Patent number: 8757230
Abstract: In an anti-skid device of fit-in type, less time and effort are needed for adjusting the inner width of anti-skid bodies. The anti-skid device is such that two or more anti-skid bodies having a U-shaped cross-section are fitted therein with a tire of a car and arranged in circumferential direction of the tire so as to be connected with one another. An exterior part of each anti-skid body is provided with a contact member for contacting with an outside surface of the tire, while an interior part is provided with a contact member for contacting with an inside surface of the tire. The exterior part or the interior part of each anti-skid body is attached thereto with a shaft 7 along an axial direction of the tire T. The shaft can move forward and backward in the axial direction of the tire. The contact member 6 is provided at an inner end of the shaft. An elastic member 9 is provided to apply a forward movement force to the shaft attached thereto with the contact member.

  • Publication number: 20140083583
Abstract: An anti-skid device for tires according to the present invention is configured of elementary units. Each elementary unit has a first main body including: a first U-shaped portion that straddles sidewall parts of a tire; an inside front extending portion; and an outside rear extending portion, and a second main body in the same form. The first main body and the second main body are connected with each other at the inside sidewall part side of the tire. The elementary unit has contact members each covering at least a part of a connector while being capable of contacting the sidewall part. These contact members are interposed between the connectors and the sidewall parts thereby to prevent troubles, such as vibration and noise caused from the connectors, and rubbing between the connectors and the tire or wheel.

  • Publication number: 20130292015
Abstract: Two or more anti-skid bodies with a U-shaped cross-section to be fitted therein with a tire of a car are connected by one or more connecting members to form a belt form. When being attached to the tire, the anti-skid bodies in the belt form are put on the upper part of the tire and fitted therein with the tire, the anti-skid bodies at both ends of the belt are suspended from both sides of the tire, and the pair of connecting components of the anti-skid bodies at both sides of the tire is connected thereby to form the anti-skid bodies in the belt form into a loop. When being detached from the tire, the pair of connecting components is disconnected from each other to form the anti-skid bodies into a belt form.

  • Patent number: 8539998
Abstract: In an anti-skid device in which anti-skid bodies are connected to be arranged in the circumferential direction of a tire of a car, connecting/separating workability is simplified. Connecting components are also simplified in their structure and production. Rod-like and tube-like connecting components are attached to the front-side and the rear-side of each anti-skid body. A manipulation member is configured such that an attaching rod and a connecting rod arranged in parallel with each other are connected by a manipulation rod, the attaching rod and the connecting rod are inserted into attaching holes and connecting holes of the tube-like connecting component, and the manipulation member is thus movable in the crossing direction of the tube-like connecting component. An elastic member is provided which applies a backward movement force to the manipulation member.

  • Publication number: 20070131325
Abstract: A slip-preventing device has plural sets of arm frames for a tire. Each set of the arm frames has a pair of crossing components, an inner side component and a pair of outer side components. Each pair of the crossing components is bent closely on the tread of the tire so as to extend to part of an inner sidewall and to part of an outer sidewall. The inner side component connects bent parts of the pair of-crossing components with each other along part of the curved surface of the inner sidewall: Each pair of the outer side components extends in the circumferential direction of the tire along part of the curved surface of the outer sidewall from bent parts of the pair of the crossing components. Each of the arm frames has: a link unit at each leading end of the outer side components so as to link detachably with the other arm frame fitted next in the installation on the tire. The arm frames are linked with each other only by the link unit.

  • Patent number: 4815431
Abstract: Disclosed is an oil heating apparatus for an internal combustion engine, in which a heating unit for heating an oil is arranged adjacent to an oil pump on an oil path which extends from an oil pan to the oil pump of the internal combustion engine and allows the oil to pass therethrough, and energization of the heating unit is controlled by a heating control unit. When an oil having a high viscosity due to a low temperature is heated to increase the viscosity thereof, the load on the oil pump is reduced to allow an easy starting operation of the internal combustion engine at a low temperature.
