  • Publication number: 20020021778
Abstract: In a nuclear power plant, by injecting an amount of hydrogen small enough not to increase a radiation dose rate of the main steam system, ECP of metallic component materials composing a nuclear reactor can be decreased to suppress the potential of occurrence of IGSCC, and the control can be easily performed, and the operating cost can be suppressed to increase. Occurrence of intergranular stress corrosion cracking in metallic component materials in contact with reactor cooling water is suppressed by injecting zirconium hydroxide and hydrogen into the reactor cooling water to decrease the electrochemical corrosion potential of the metallic component materials.

  • Patent number: 6160922
Abstract: A digital image forming apparatus capable of allowing the colors of an image to be adjusted is disclosed. The apparatus guarantees tonality in a high image density portion and allows a low image density portion to be reproduced with a target density. Tonality correction tables can be generated without regard to the material of a recording medium or whether or not a cover plate or an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) is laid on the medium. Further, the contribution of background data included in a scanner output representative of exclusive patterns can be determined machine by machine.

  • Patent number: 5227842
Abstract: An image forming apparatus having a developing device of the type using a two-component type developer and developing an electrostatic latent image by a bias electric field having an alternating electric field. A predetermined reference latent image is electrostatically formed on an image carrier by a reference latent image forming device and then developed by the developing device to become a reference toner image. An irregularity detecting circuit determines the degree of difference between the density of the edge and the density of the central portion of the reference toner image. A bias electric field control circuit controls the bias electric field in matching relation to the output of the irregularity detecting circuit, thereby preventing the image quality from being degraded by a change in the resistance of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 4849902
Abstract: A stitch data processing apparatus which can produce an embroidered pattern utilizing an automatic sewing machine from a pattern of any relative size. The pattern to be embroidered on a work piece is input to the stitch data processing apparatus via a charge coupled device. The charge coupled device produces an image which is displayed on a display device. An operator scales the image to fit onto the display device and then indicates points along the contour of the embroidered pattern and defines regions in which the automatic sewing machine will complete the embroidered pattern. The stitch data processing apparatus is capable of creating curved contours from a number of discreet points input by the operator. It is also possible to control stitch density.
