  • Publication number: 20240144390
Abstract: Techniques for notifying parent accounts of problematic interactions by teens is described. For example, a social networking system may receive, from a first account, an indication of a problematic interaction. Based at least in part on receiving the indication, the social networking system may cause presentation, to the first account, of a prompt to notify a second account associated with the first account of the interaction. Based at least in part on receiving a confirmation from the first account, the social networking system may then send, to the second account, a notification of the problematic interaction.

  • Publication number: 20240144391
Abstract: Techniques enabling accounts of a social networking system to monitor online interactions by supervised accounts across multiple platforms are described. For example, a social networking system (SNS) may receive, from a first account, a request to invite a second account to join a Family Center (FC) so the FC includes data associated with first and second platforms of the SNS. The SNS may receive, from the second account, an indication to accept the request to join the FC associating the first and second accounts via the FC. In some examples, the SNS may receive, from the second account, a request to access the FC. Based on receiving the request to access the FC, the SNS may cause presentation to the second account of interaction data associated with interactions between the first account and the first platform of the SNS and the first account and the second platform of the SNS.

  • Publication number: 20240144409
Abstract: Techniques for notifying parent accounts of problematic interactions by teens is described. For example, a social networking system may receive, from a first account of the social networking system, an indication of an interaction between the first account and a content item. Based on determining that the interaction is a problematic interaction, the social networking system may send, to a second account associated with the first account, a notification of the problematic interaction. The social networking system may cause presentation, to the second account, of a selectable control associated with one or more resources regarding addressing the problematic interaction.

  • Patent number: 11734408
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems, methods, non-transitory computer-readable medium for using a single sign-on (SSO) to access an application. A client application on a client device in communication with an identity provider and an application on a remote computing device. The client application can authenticate a user via an identity provider to establish an authentication session. The client application can identify a request to access a uniform resource locator (URL) of the application hosted on the remote computing device. The client application can determine that a configuration of the client application identifies a remapped URL for the URL is available. The client application can access the remapped URL instead of the URL to cause the user to use the authentication session of the identity provider and be redirected from the identity provider to a link of the application on the remote computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230088222
Abstract: A system and method for dynamically shaping an inter-datacenter traffic. The method encompasses receiving, one or more inter-datacenter data packets of the inter-datacenter traffic, wherein each inter-datacenter data packet is associated with a corresponding application and/or application interaction. The method thereafter encompasses identifying, one or more target application flow policies for said each inter-datacenter data packet from one or more application flow policies pre-stored in one or more eBPF maps. The method thereafter leads to dynamically marking, a priority for said each inter-datacenter data packet using an eBPF XDP techstack, based at least on the identified one or more target application flow policies. Further the method encompasses transmitting to an edge router, said each inter-datacenter data packet with the corresponding marked priority.

  • Publication number: 20230012224
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods for accessing a web application hosted in an intranet from outside said intranet. A server hosting a domain name service configured for the intranet can receive a request from a client that is outside the intranet to access the web application. The request may include a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the web application in the intranet. Responsive to the FQDN of the web application in the intranet, the server may send a notification to an access service, to cause the access service to pre-establish a connection to the intranet. Responsive to the FQDN of the web application in the intranet, the server may direct the client to send a handshake message to the access service to request access to the web application.
