  • Publication number: 20230412713
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for interoperability of a blade server in a server chassis, where IOMs of the server chassis do not provide dedicated pins for communicating a physical slot ID to the blade server. BMCs of the blade servers and CMCs of IOMs of the server chassis are mutually configured to broadcast Ethernet frames on layer 2 network segments over a broadcast domain configured by a switch module connected to the blade servers over layer 2 network segments; conduct a slot inference communication protocol using these Ethernet frame broadcasts to enable the CMC to determine a physical slot ID in response to a BMC request, and broadcast that physical slot ID back to the BMC; and use a public certificate-private certificate pair, based in a hardware root of trust, to enforce security of this communication protocol.

A wireless controller may have alternating-current magnetometers for monitoring the alternating-current field. The wireless controller may also have an accelerometer for measuring the orientation of the controller relative to the Earth's gravity and a direct-current magnetometer for measuring the orientation of the controller relative to the Earth's magnetic field. The alternating-current magnetometers may be three-coil magnetometers located at different locations in a controller housing. Using data from the alternating-current magnetometers, the direct-current magnetometer, the accelerometer, and/or other sensors, the wireless controller can determine the position and orientation of the wireless controller. • Publication number: 20230315209
Abstract: An electronic device for gesture recognition on resource-constrained devices is provided. The electronic device controls storage of a plurality of first consecutive image frames in a first buffer of a first length. The plurality of first consecutive image frames corresponds to the first length. The electronic device recognizes a first hand sign of a plurality of hand signs in a first subset of image frames of the plurality of first consecutive image frames. The electronic device controls storage of the recognized first hand sign in a second buffer of a second length based on the determination that a ratio of a number of the first subset of image frames and the first length is one of equal to or greater than the threshold. The electronic device determines a gesture corresponding to one or more hand signs of the plurality of hand signs stored in the second buffer.

  • Patent number: 11778266
Abstract: Methods and systems of providing alternative targeted advertising (TAD) content are shown and disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes outputting a first TAD content during a TAD window, and receiving at least one user input requesting different TAD content during the TAD window. The method additionally includes outputting the different TAD content instead of the first TAD content during the TAD window after at least one predetermined amount of time from start of the TAD window in response to the at least one user input. In some embodiments, the method may further include re-outputting the first TAD content instead of the different TAD content during the TAD window in response to receiving user input requesting different TAD content when the predetermined amount of time associated with each of the different TAD content already has elapsed before receiving the user input.

  • Patent number: 11778014
Abstract: Streaming content protocols typically provide playlists, a file that lists the location of each segment of a content stream. The playlist may change as the content server adds content to the content stream or because the length of the content stream continues to grow. Client devices periodically fetch the playlist, and are unaware whether the playlist has changed, and thus may needlessly use bandwidth repeatedly fetching the same playlist. Throttling content download o provides systems and methods for controlling the download of streaming content-related data according to the current status of the playlist and possibly also current bandwidth availability. Content server, by monitoring client device related playlist position and client device content buffer can regulate content streaming, to improve network bandwidth distribution. A content server determines whether the playlist has changed since the last time the playlist was requested and denies a request for the playlist when the playlist has not changed.

  • Patent number: 11765278
Abstract: A system for preserving charging event messages in a mobile telecommunications network when a charging server is unavailable includes a message broker comprising persistent storage. The system also includes a network element that generates a charging event message, attempts to send the charging event message to a charging server, and writes the charging event message to the message broker in response to determining that the attempt to send the charging event message to the charging server has failed. The system also includes a replay agent that subscribes to the message broker for notifications associated with the charging server, receives a notification from the message broker about the charging event message, reads the charging event message from the message broker, and causes the charging event message to be sent to the charging server when the charging server is available.

  • Publication number: 20230281958
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for retraining machine learning (ML) models. Examples may automatically identify skewed, anomalous, and/or drift occurrence data in real-world input data. By automatically identifying such data, examples can reduce subjectivity in ML model retraining as well as reduce time spent determining a need to retrain a ML model. Accordingly, a determination can be made objectively by a computing system or device according to computer-implemented instructions. Additionally, examples may automatically isolate and transfer data relevant to the retraining of a ML model to a training environment for retraining the ML model using real-world input data. Examples also synthesize large samples of data for use in retraining a ML model. The synthesized data may be generated based on the isolated and transferred data and can be used in place of actual real-world input data to reduce a corresponding delay.
