Abstract: An illumination device includes a light sensor, a light-emitting unit, a switch unit and a processing unit. The light sensor is configured for sensing ambient light intensity and providing results based on the sensed light intensity. The switch unit is configured for controlling the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and a power unit. The processing unit includes a control module and a light adjusting module. The controlling module is configured for turning off the switch unit to cut off the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and the power unit during the sensing of the light intensity. The light adjusting module is configured for adjusting the brightness of the light-emitting unit according to the results provided by the light sensor. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable electronic device. The device includes a first controller, a second controller, a mode switch unit, and a main controller. The mode switch unit is for a user to operate thereby generating a mode switch instruction. The main controller is for switching a work mode according to the mode switch instruction from the mode switch unit. When the mode switch unit generates a first mode switch instruction, the device enters a common work mode whereby the main controller activates the first controller and the second controller to be on standby; and when the mode switch unit generates a second mode switch instruction, the device enters a single work mode whereby the main controller activates only one of the first controller and the second controller to be on standby.

Abstract: A method with television (TV) tuning function applied on a digital photo frame (DPF) is provided. The method includes: fetching a prompt time of at least one particular TV program; determining whether a prompt time of a particular TV program is about to arrive or has already arrived at the current time; fetching a prompt signal of the particular TV program whose prompt time is about to arrive or has already arrived, and outputting the prompt signal to prompt a particular TV program is being aired or about to air; switching the DPF from the DPF mode to a TV mode and providing the channel parameter of the particular TV program upon receiving a mode switching signal during the outputting of the prompt signal; and; and receiving and playing the particular TV program according to the channel parameter. A related DPF is also provided.

Abstract: A mobile communications device to provide feedback on spam text messages. A corresponding method is provided. The method includes steps of: receiving a message from a server; decoding the message; identifying whether the server ID of the received message is one of the predetermined numbers; displaying the menu on the display unit if the server ID is one of the predetermined numbers; receiving a reply code, generating a reply message corresponding to the reply code, and sending the reply message to the server.

Abstract: A mobile communications device and a method for replying advertising message (ad) are provided. The method includes steps of: receiving an ad transmitted by the server; identifying whether the received ad is messages with a predetermined format; invoking a decoding program from a storage unit for decoding the received ad if the received ad is messages with the predetermined format; identifying the special identifiers to retrieve each part of the ad; displaying a basic content part and a reply content part of the ad after the ad has decoded; identifying the reply code the user inputs in code input area via the input unit; receiving a user's reply, generating a reply message includes a reply code corresponding to the user's reply, and sending the reply message.

Abstract: A digital photo frame (DPF) includes a power source, a display panel, a light detector, a motion detector, a processing unit, and a power management unit. The light detector is configured to detect the ambient brightness. The motion detection unit is configured to detect whether anyone is around. The processing unit is connected to the light detector and the motion detector. If the motion detector detects someone is around the DPF and the light detector detects the ambient brightness is below a predetermined value, the processing unit controls the power management unit to provide power to the display panel.

Abstract: A display testing method applied on an apparatus is provided, the apparatus being connected with an image capturing device. The method includes: controlling the image capturing device to capture and store images of displays to be tested; determining a first vertex of a test area on the captured image, determining a test area according to the determined first vertex; and testing parameters of the display according to the test area.

The solar power module has multiple solar power generation units for generating power and inputting information, and the solar power generation unit has multiple solar power generation subunits. The electrical parameter variation is generated from the solar power generation subunit when light absorbed by the solar power generation unit changes.

Abstract: A solar power module includes a solar power generation layer, a first electrode layer, and a second electrode layer. The solar power generation receives photons and includes a number of solar power generation units. The first electrode layer is connected with the solar power generation layer. The second electrode layer is connected with the solar power generation layer, and includes a number of conductive electrodes. Each conductive electrode is connected with one of the solar power generation unit. The conductive electrode transmits an electrical parameter variation of the corresponding solar power generation unit to a detection unit to transform the electrical parameter variation into corresponding input command.

Abstract: This present disclosure provides a GPS device for displaying traffic conditions and method thereof. The GPS device defines turn distance ranges according to GPS navigation information. When running into the defined turn distance range, the vehicle turns on a video device and turn signal lamps automatically, and displays the video feed provided by the video device. When passing by the defined turn distance range, the vehicle turns off the video device and the turn signal lamps automatically.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a main control system, a power key, a touch screen, and a touch screen control unit. The touch screen includes a plurality of infrared emitters, a plurality of infrared receivers and an infrared light grid comprising an infrared light beam passing through the power key. The touch screen control unit includes a scan controlling module, a detecting module, and a power controlling module. The scan controlling module periodically scans the infrared light beam passing through the power key. The detecting module determines whether a blocked time of the infrared light beam passing through the power key reaches a first predetermined time period. The power controlling module powers on or off the main control system when a time of blocking the infrared light beam passing through the power key being blocked reaches the first predetermined time period. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: A remote control for an electronic device comprises an input unit for generating control signals, a connector and a microprocessor. A connector with a plurality of interfaces, one end of connector is electrically connected to a transmission unit of the remote control via a data bus, each of the interfaces of the connector is configured for engaging with an interface of the electronic device for transmitting the control signals to the electronic device. The microprocessor determines which interface to transmit the control signals to the electronic device to control the electronic device to flip pages. A signal transmission method applied in a remote control for an electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: A touch detecting system for installation on a touch panel includes two point light sources arranged along one side of a touch panel, an optical sensor disposed at an opposite second side of the touch panel, at least one optical lens, and a processing unit. The at least on optical lens is disposed between the second side of the touch panel and the optical sensor. The at least one optical lens is spaced from the touch panel and the optical sensor, for directing the light from the point light sources to the optical sensor. The optical sensor captures an image which including two dark points of the light from the point light sources when a touch object is on the touch panel. The processing unit determines the position of the touch object on the touch panel based on positions of the dark points in the image.

Abstract: A multidimensional display apparatus includes a main display screen divided into at least three display areas including a first centre display area and at least two surrounded display areas, at least two reflective elements, and at least three display surfaces. The reflective elements are arranged above and inclined with respect to the second display areas, and a reflection surface of each of the reflective elements faces the corresponding second display area. One of the display surfaces is above the first display area, and the other two are corresponding to the second display areas, facing the reflection surfaces of the reflective elements. The contents displayed on the first display area is viewable on the display surface above, and the contents displayed on the second display areas are reflected by the corresponding reflection surfaces of the reflective elements and viewable on the other two display surfaces.

Abstract: An information input module for an electronic device includes a substrate, a first electrode made up of transparent conductive materials, a second electrode, and a solar cell layer disposed between the first and second electrodes. The solar cell layer includes a plurality of solar cells electrically insulated from each other. The plurality of solar cells generates electrical signals in response to a user's operations to activate functions of the electronic device. The first electrode is disposed between the substrate and the solar cell layer. Both the first and second electrodes are electrically connected to each of the plurality of solar cells for transmitting the electrical signals to the electronic device. The electrical signals reflect changes of electrical parameters of one or more solar cells of the plurality of solar cells when light beams are blocked from reaching on, wholly or partially, the one or more solar cells.

Abstract: A remote controller with touch screen is used for controlling an electronic device. The remote controller includes a housing, a storage unit, an interface unit, and a processing unit. A remote control interface is displayed on the touch screen. The remote control interface includes at least one virtual key, and the at least one virtual key produces a corresponding trigger signal in response to user's touch. The processing unit identifies the remote code after receiving the trigger signal, and drives the interface unit to emit the corresponding coded pulse to the electronic device, and at the same time the processing unit drives the touch screen to display the next level remote control interface.
