Patent number: 10631763Abstract: A method for non-invasive glucose monitoring includes the following steps. At least one ray of light is emitted from at least one light source. The light emitted from the light source is leaded into an eyeball and focused on the eyeball through a first beam splitter. The reflected light reflected from the eyeball is transmitted through the first beam splitter to a set of photo detectors. Optical angular information and energy information of the reflected light transmitted to the set of photo detectors are measured. Optical angular difference and energy difference resulting from the light emitted from the light source and the reflected light transmitted to the set of photo detectors are obtained. Glucose information is obtained by analyzing the optical angular difference and the energy difference. Since glucose information has a corresponding relationship with blood glucose information, blood glucose information may be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2017Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: Taiwan Biophotonic CorporationInventors: Yu-Tang Li, Chang-Sheng Chu, Pei-Fang Tsou, Pei-Cheng Ho, Kuan-Jui Ho

Patent number: 9423958Abstract: A system and a method for managing an expansion read-only memory (ROM), and a management host thereof are provided. The management host is connected with a computer host through a bridge. The management host establishes an address lookup table to assign a virtual function and an expansion ROM corresponding to the virtual function. When a request is issued by the computer host to obtain a size of the expansion ROM, the management host provides data in a shadow register block corresponding to the expansion ROM to the computer host according to the address lookup table. The computer host assigns a memory block in the computer host to the expansion ROM according to the data in the shadow register block. When a request is issued by the computer host to obtain data of the expansion ROM through the bridge, the management host provides the data of the expansion ROM to the computer host according to the memory block.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2014Date of Patent: August 23, 2016Assignee: VIA Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Kuan-Jui Ho

Patent number: 9196327Abstract: A storage media control method, by which a data strobe signal is shifted by different phase shifts at different time intervals during a write-leveling operation to be received by a storage media and compared to a clock signal for returning a data signal. At the storage media side, during the write-leveling operation, a synchronous transmission between the received data strobe signal and the clock signal causes a transition event at the data signal. The number of transition-event occurrences is counted. When the count shows that just one transition event has occurred over a full round of phase shift tests of the data strobe signal, the phase shift corresponding to the transition event is used in the adjustment of the data strobe signal, which is received by the storage media as the data extraction reference of a write operation.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2013Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignee: VIA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Kuan-Jui Ho, Tsung-Pin Yang
