    Abstract: A method for system profiling and controlling and a computer system performing the same are provided. In the method, an operating system is operated after the computer system is booted, in which a profiling-controlling system is operated. When the operating system loads and executes a system profiling-controlling program, the profiling-controlling system that simultaneously operates a profiling routine and a controlling routine is initiated. The profiling routine is used to retrieve system kernel data that is generated during operation of the operating system and analyze the system kernel data through a kernel tracing tool. When it is determined that controlling is required, the profiling routine notifies the controlling routine. The controlling routine controls operating parameters of the operating system in real time according to an analysis result generated by the profiling routine.

    Abstract: Thermally de-bondable adhesives are formed from curable compositions that have a two-stage curing mechanism. The first stage of curing forms a pressure sensitive adhesive and the second stage of curing, reduces the adhesion of the adhesive. The curable composition includes a curable composition and a thermally de-bonding composition. The curable composition includes a first alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with 4-12 carbon atoms, a second hydroxyl-functional (meth)acrylate monomer, a crosslinker, and an initiator. The thermally de-bonding composition includes a blocked multi-functional isocyanate, and a metal salt catalyst. The Peel Adhesion of the cured adhesive upon heating to at least 180° C. for 1 hour is reduced by at least 15%.

The reconfigurable shared memory system can be included in a processor-based system to provide memory for data storage. In exemplary aspects, the reconfigurable shared memory system not only includes the dedicated memory and the general memory (e.g., system cache memory), but also includes a reconfigurable memory. The reconfigurable memory can be configured as either part of addressable memory space of the dedicated memory if an application requires such additional dedicated memory, and/or configured as part of the addressable memory space of the general memory to provide additional memory to other clients for increased processing performance if such reconfigurable memory is not needed as part of the dedicated memory. The dedicated memory does not have to be sized to the worst-case size requirements of a given application.

The liquid crystal materials include liquid crystal molecules and ions of salt species. The liquid crystal molecules are at least formed by negative liquid crystals and chiral molecules. The liquid crystal layer is respectively switched to a diffuse reflection state and a specular reflection state by applying the electrical field generated by the voltage source in a first frequency and a second frequency. The second frequency is higher than the first frequency.

The electrically controlled polarization rotator includes two substrates and a liquid crystal layer located between the two substrates. The two substrates have a homogeneous alignment and a homeotropic alignment respectively. A distance between the two substrates is a liquid crystal thickness. A switching electric field which is adjustable is provided between the two substrates. A polarized light is incident on the substrate having the homogeneous alignment. A polarization direction of the polarized light is orthogonal or parallel to an alignment direction of the substrate having the homogeneous alignment. A birefringence of the liquid crystal layer multiplied by the liquid crystal thickness and further divided by a wavelength of the polarized light is greater than 10. The polarization direction of the polarized light is rotated corresponding to an intensity of the switching electric field in the liquid crystal layer.

    Abstract: A method for configuring network traffic and a computer system are provided. The computer system includes a processing unit and a network module that is operated based on a bandwidth configuration. The processing unit operates an operating system that executes a profiling-controlling program. The method is performed in the operating system. In the method, the operating system initiates a system kernel, and the profiling-controlling program can obtain kernel operation information from the system kernel, so that information of multiple applications operating in a foreground process and a background process of the operating system can be retrieved. A priority order is decided, and a network bandwidth configuration is formed and written into traffic control instructions of the system kernel or a driver of the network module. The network bandwidth configuration allows the operating system to perform a traffic configuration on each of the applications.
