  • Publication number: 20190205813
Abstract: A method and system for determining transportation service routes for vehicles is provided. A transportation server receives commutation requests of commuters travelling from different pick-up locations to the same drop-off location. The pick-up locations are clustered into first and second sets of clusters based on one or more clustering parameters. The transportation server determines a plurality of route combinations for the first set of clusters. The transportation server also determines fitness-scores for each route combination. Optimum route combination is determined from the plurality of route combinations based on the fitness-scores. First and second sets of vehicles of a plurality of vehicles travel along first and second sets of routes to cater to the first and second sets of clusters.

  • Publication number: 20190200880
Abstract: A method and system for determining fractional flow reserve (FFR) for a coronary artery stenosis of a patient is disclosed. In one embodiment, medical image data of the patient including the stenosis is received, a set of features for the stenosis is extracted from the medical image data of the patient, and an FFR value for the stenosis is determined based on the extracted set of features using a trained machine-learning based mapping. In another embodiment, a medical image of the patient including the stenosis of interest is received, image patches corresponding to the stenosis of interest and a coronary tree of the patient are detected, an FFR value for the stenosis of interest is determined using a trained deep neural network regressor applied directly to the detected image patches.

  • Publication number: 20190197132
Abstract: A method and a system for location clustering for a transportation service are provided. A plurality of locations are clustered into a plurality of clusters, each having one or more locations of the plurality of locations. A graph is generated by connecting the plurality of clusters. A first cluster of the plurality of clusters is connected to one or more second clusters of the plurality of clusters that satisfy one or more threshold parameters. The graph is segmented into a plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs based on one or more connections between the plurality of clusters. One or more fully-connected maximal sub-graphs of the plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs have a set of common clusters. The plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs are used for performing one or more transportation service operations of the transportation service.

  • Publication number: 20190190696
Abstract: A blockchain hierarchy comprises an arrangement of blockchains organized in a tree-like manner such that a blockchain at a lower level feeds data to a blockchain at a relatively higher level. At least one blockchain comprises a private autonomous group of peers that are involved in a particular task. Within that particular group of peers, preferably one of the peers is elected as a leader entity, which has the capability of also joining another private or public blockchain, e.g., one at a higher level in the hierarchy. The leader entity includes a capability to enforce a data protection policy within the blockchain that it leads. To this end, the leader filters or declassifies data based on some task-specific (or blockchain-specific) data protection policy, and it then makes that data available to one or more other blockchains in the hierarchy (directly or indirectly).

  • Publication number: 20190180309
Abstract: A method and a system for optimizing customer engagement in a transportation service is provided. One or more regular time intervals of travel by a customer are identified based on historical travel data of the customer. Regular travel data is detected from the historical travel data based on the one or more regular time intervals, and random travel data is detected based on the regular travel data and the historical travel data. Further, regular and random capacities of the customer are determined based on the regular and random travel data, respectively. A life-time value (LTV) of the customer is determined based on at least the regular and random capacities of the customer. Based on at least the determined LTV, targeted content is recommended to the customer that optimizes the customer engagement with the transportation service.

  • Publication number: 20190182035
Abstract: A processor-implemented method improves security in a blockchain network of devices, which supports a blockchain, by protecting security, privacy, financial fairness, and secure transfer of identity assets. An identity asset provider device creates an identity asset related to an entity. The identity asset provider also creates a provider key, which is composed of multiple bits, and which is needed to decrypt an encrypted version of the identity asset. The identity asset provider device transmits the provider key bit-by-bit to an identity asset consumer device. A price for the provider key depends on how many bits have been transmitted to the identity asset consumer device.

  • Publication number: 20190182774
Abstract: A network using a routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks (“RPL”) can provide timing information for a next destination oriented directed acyclic graph (“DODAG”) information object (“DIO”) packet by including DIO timing information in an RPL packet or a beacon. When a low energy node receives the RPL packet, it may use the DIO timing information to determine a wake time which corresponds to the timing of the next DIO packet. The low energy node may enter a sleep state after determining the wake time and remain in the sleep state until the wake time when it enters an active state and listens for the next DIO packet. Alternatively, DIO slots in a DIO slot frame may be allocated for communicating DIO packets.

  • Patent number: 10320838
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for preventing man-in-the-middle attacks within network, without the need to maintain trusted/un-trusted port listings on each network device. The solutions disclosed herein leverage a host database which can be present on controllers, thereby providing a centralized database instead of a per-node DHCP binding database. Systems configured according to this disclosure (1) use a flood list only for ARP packets received from the controller 116; and (2) unicast ARP packets to the controller before communicating the packets to other VTEPs.
