  • Publication number: 20230160847
Abstract: Composite nanomaterials including a carbon nanomaterial and an electrocatalyst are disclosed and shown to facilitate enhanced detection, via electro-oxidation, of phenolic analytes when applied to a sensing electrode, such as the working electrode of an electrochemical sensor. In other example embodiments, methods and devices for improved electrochemical detection of phenolic analytes are disclosed in which a sensor electrode is modified by the presence of graphene nanosheets. Such modified electrodes may be employed to provide working electrodes in electrochemical sensors for the rapid detection of cannabinoids and/or associated metabolites in saliva. In some example implementations, the nanocomposite or graphene nanosheets are functionalized with magnetic particles and provided in a suspension that is initially contacted with the sample prior to being magnetically drawn to the surface of the electrode for electrochemical processing.

  • Publication number: 20230160990
Abstract: A method includes generating a reference voltage by periodically switching direction of current flow in a diagnostic sensor, where the reference voltage is a non-sinusoidal differential voltage of which an amplitude alternates between minimum and maximum values, and where the reference voltage includes a diagnostic sensor output voltage component responsive to an external magnetic field and a diagnostic sensor offset voltage component responsive to a mismatch of the diagnostic sensor. The method also includes amplifying the reference voltage to produce an amplified reference voltage, where the amplified reference voltage is a differential voltage having an amplifier offset voltage component. Additionally, the method includes demodulating the amplified reference voltage by filtering the diagnostic sensor offset voltage component and the amplifier offset voltage component to produce a demodulated voltage. Also, the method includes digitizing the demodulated voltage to produce a digitized voltage.

Abstract: A system includes an adapter mounted over a distal end of an insertion device, a clip and a first extending member. The clip includes jaws movable between an insertion configuration, with the jaws separated and an initial deployed configuration with the jaws drawn together. The clip is biased toward the initial configuration. The first jaw includes a connection element and a first member releasably coupled to the first jaw connection element permits movement of the adapter relative to the clip while the first member remains coupled to the clip to enhance visual observation of the clip. The first member retracts the clip proximally over the adapter so that the clip is forced open as the clip is retracted over the adapter freeing the clip from tissue on which it had been clipped.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remotely monitoring hospital patients are provided. Medical devices may capture biometric data associated with a patient positioned in an ICU environment, and a remote display device positioned external to the ICU environment may display an indication of the health of the patient based on the captured biometric data. The indication of the health of the patient may include a graph mapping normalized health statuses associated with the patient over time. Each normalized health status may be based on normalizing a particular type of biometric data based on a medical protocol, so each data point of the graph includes an indication of a normalized health status associated with the patient at a given time. The indication of the health of the patient may include an animated three-dimensional that is dynamically updated to reflect biometric data associated with the patient captured at a time selected by a user.

  • Publication number: 20230159030
Abstract: A vehicular driver assist system includes a forward-viewing camera disposed at and viewing through a windshield of a vehicle. The vehicular driver assist system sets an initial vehicle soft lock speed when speed of the vehicle reaches an initial threshold speed of travel. With the initial vehicle soft lock speed set and with the vehicle speed exceeding the initial vehicle soft lock speed, the system maintains the vehicle speed at the initial vehicle soft lock speed when the vehicle speed reduces to the initial vehicle soft lock speed by coasting. When speed of the vehicle increases by a multiple of a vehicle speed increment above the initial vehicle soft lock speed, the system sets an increased vehicle soft lock speed and maintains the vehicle speed at the increased vehicle soft lock speed when the vehicle speed reduces to the increased vehicle soft lock speed by coasting.

  • Patent number: 11656801
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices related to data relocation via a cache are described. In one example, a memory device in accordance with the described techniques may include a memory array, a sense amplifier array, and a signal development cache configured to store signals (e.g., cache signals, signal states) associated with logic states (e.g., memory states) that may be stored at the memory array (e.g., according to various read or write operations). In some cases, the memory device may transfer data from a first address of the memory array to the signal development cache. The memory device may transfer the data stored in the signal development cache to a second address of the memory array based on a parameter associated with the first address of the memory array satisfying a criterion for performing data relocation.

  • Patent number: 11657611
Abstract: An illustrative room identification system performs augmented reality room identification based on free-hand image capture and room-object profile data. The room identification system obtains a set of reference room-object profiles for a set of rooms associated with an experience presented by an augmented reality presentation device. The room identification system generates a live room-object profile based on an image captured by the presentation device during the augmented reality experience, the image depicting a particular room of the set of rooms. Based on the live room-object profile and the set of reference room-object profiles, the room identification system determines that the presentation device is located in the particular room of the set of rooms and provides, to the presentation device, an indication of the determination that the presentation device is located in the particular room. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11657298
Abstract: A card engine may dynamically configure content for display via user equipment (UE). A rules engine may provide constructs to the card engine in the form of card definitions, which the card engine may evaluate using facts obtained from a facts controller. The card engine may create a hierarchy of containers, which are logical abstracts for containing cards. The containers in the hierarchy, which may be organized as a tree, may contain card definitions according to respective themes determined by the card engine. Variants may be assigned weights which can be changed dynamically based on factors such as user behavior, account condition, promotions or offerings. The card having the highest weight within its container is advanced up the tree. When a card reaches the top level of the tree, it may be formatted for display via the user interface and transmitted to the UE accordingly.
