  • Patent number: 12072854
Abstract: Techniques are provided for moving data between partitions. Such a process may be performed without requiring any locks that block transactions that target a partition from being executed. Instead, such transactions may proceed while a move operation is being performed. The move operation involves copying data from the targeted partition to another partition that is hidden from (or “invisible” to) those transactions that attempt to read from or write to the partition. During the move operation, changes that are made to the partition are also reflected in a journal. Eventually, the changes reflected in the journal are drained and applied to the hidden partition. Once the partition and the hidden partition are synchronized, the identities of the partitions are swapped so that future transactions will target the previously-hidden partition instead of the previously-viewable partition.

  • Patent number: 12072878
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating a search index for a hierarchical data set so that a search query of the hierarchical data may return results without searching or analyzing the hierarchical data set itself. The techniques generate a flattened index that includes selected indexed attributes and additional attributes to be displayed with the indexed attributes. The techniques also generate a hierarchy representation of the hierarchical data. Using these generated data structures, query results may be returned without directly traversing the hierarchical data itself while also providing data and hierarchical context for the query results by overlaying the query results with nodes of the hierarchical representation or otherwise concurrently displaying the query results with nodes of the hierarchical representation.

  • Patent number: 12075255
Abstract: A method for secure wireless communication executed by at least one processor of a device. A registration certificate is transmitted to the device by a host, the registration certificate including a Long Term Device Key (LTDK) and being generated by a registration server in response to the registration of the host as authorized to connect to the device. In response to receiving a request for securing a Bluetooth connection between the device and the host, the device transmits the LTDK to the host. The device receives, from the host, a connection certificate including connection data for establishing the connection between the host and the device. The connection certificate is signed by a private Long Term Host Key (LTHK) of the host, where the LTHK of the host and the LTDK of the device form a cryptographic Long Term Key pair. The device validates the connection certificate using the LTDK of the device to determine whether the host is authorized to connect to the device.

  • Publication number: 20240281225
Abstract: Construct-modification tags conveying development-phase compiler requests are introduced into source code to facilitate communication between developers, identify areas that need developer attention, send directives to a compiler, and other development features in an integrated development environment, during the software development phase. A CANDIDATE tag conveys a request to a compiler to identify multiple candidate constructs, compile each set of candidates or sets of multiple candidates into executables, and profile the compiled executables. Results of the profiling can be compared and a best candidate or set of candidates selected based on one or more of various criteria. A CANDIDATE tag may incorporate properties, permissions, and generate notifications. Methods ensure that tags no longer remain in source code once the software development process enters the production phase.

  • Publication number: 20240284264
Abstract: Techniques are described for improving service continuity for Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS) communications during handover. Techniques are included for supporting lossless handover and data forwarding during handover for peer-to-multiple (PTM) MBS transmission. Lossless handover may be achieved in part by the user equipment (UE) providing to the target base station an indication of the next packet of the MBS session to be received following an RRC reconfiguration message, and an indication of any MBS packets provided by the source base station prior to the RRC reconfiguration message that were not properly received by the UE. Data forwarding may be performed from the source base station to the target base station if the MBS session was not configured on the target base station prior to the handover. Data forwarding may be omitted if the MBS session was configured on the target base station prior to the handover.

  • Publication number: 20240281250
Abstract: A system for performing energy-efficient computing reduces the amount of data that is transferred between a processor and an external memory device. The processor and the external memory device are equipped with first and second near data processing control units (NCUs), respectively, that coordinate offloading of preselected subprocesses from the processor to a first processing circuit disposed on or near the external memory device. When the processor is performing one of these preselected processes, the first NCU transmits commands and memory addresses to the second NCU. The processing circuit on or near the memory device performs the subprocess or subprocesses and the result is forwarded by the second NCU to the first NCU, which forwards it to the processor to complete the process.
