  • Publication number: 20140133828
Abstract: A scene switching system and method applicable to a plurality of media channels and a recording medium thereof are provided, which are used for switching and playing scenes for a plurality of media channels. Such a system includes a channel connection module and a media switching module. The channel connection module acquires first media data and second media data from a first media channel and a second media channel. The media switching module, when determining that a first switching setting corresponding to the first media data is set to be activated and the second media data is being played, analyzes whether a first playing scene of the first media data agrees with scene demand data of the first switching setting, and decides whether to perform switching processing on the first playing scene according to the first switching setting.

  • Patent number: 8331944
Abstract: A mobile communication method includes the following steps: several first base stations and at least one second base station are provided. Wherein, each of the first base stations can cover a smaller area than the second base station can. A registration signal is received from a mobile communication device. If the registration signal is received through one of the first base stations, service is provided to the mobile communication device through the first base station receiving the registration signal, and a first base station list, which includes information of the first base stations, is transmitted to the mobile communication device. The mobile communication device measures signal strength of the first base stations according to the first base station list. The mobile communication device transmits another registration signal to the first base station with the strongest measured signal strength.

  • Publication number: 20100136972
Abstract: A gateway module, a communication method, and a computer program product thereof are provided. The gateway module is adapted for use in a network framework comprising a mobile station, a plurality of interworking units, a first wireless network, and a second wireless network. The mobile station is located within the signal coverage of the first wireless network and the second wireless network, and accepts network service provided by the first wireless network. The gateway module receives a handover request signal of the first wireless network, selects a handover interworking unit from the interworking units according to the handover request signal, and transmits the handover request signal to the second wireless network. Thereby, the mobile station can handover to the second wireless network to accept the network service provided by the second wireless network.

  • Patent number: 7724726
Abstract: A data transmission system for dynamically adjusting a protocol data unit (PDU) length and a method thereof are provided. The data transmission system at least includes a transmitting terminal and a receiving terminal. After a connection is established between the transmitting terminal and the receiving terminal, data is transmitted through a predetermined first data message PDU. When the receiving terminal found that an error rate of the PDU is excessively high, a second data message PDU length is calculated, and the transmitting terminal is informed to use the most appropriate PDU length to transmit data. The data transmission system dynamically adjusts the PDU length to achieve the effect of enhancing the data transmission capacity, so as to solve the problems concerning power consumption and interference between users caused by the process of enhancing the data transmission capacity by way of increasing the transmission power.

  • Publication number: 20070167195
Abstract: A communication system, a method for extending stand-by time, and a computer readable medium therefor are provided. The communication system includes a mobile communication apparatus and a core network. The method and the computer readable medium therefor perform the following steps. When the mobile communication apparatus is in a low battery situation or required to enter a power saving mode by a user, it sends a signal to the core network to request to enter the power saving mode. After receiving the signal, the core network reduces a data quantity transmitted to the mobile communication apparatus, and thereby the purpose of extending stand-by time is achieved.
