  • Patent number: 4610067
Abstract: A binding tool in which a fastener row consisting of a plurality of fasteners arranged side by side at a predetermined pitch is fed by increments corresponding to said pitch, a binding tape is fed into the leading fastener in a set position from behind in a tool body, the tape emerging from the front end of the fastener is passed around an object, the leading end of the tape is inserted into the fastener from the front end, the tape end emerging from the rear end of the fastener is clamped by a stopper in the body, the tape is pulled back to be tightened around the object, the tape is secured to the fastener by driving an associated pin thereinto in the body, the tape is cut behind the fastener.

  • Patent number: 4609136
Abstract: A rivet driver is disclosed, which comprises a guide space through which a rivet belt is fed, feeder means for feeding the rivet belt through the guide space stepwise at increments equal to the pitch of the branch portions, re-directing means operable in an interlocked relation with the feeding operation of the rivet feeder means for bending the branch portion associated with the rivet located at a driving position in the guide space so that the rivet assumes a different orientation from that of the other rivets in the rivet belt, squeezing means for pushing the flange of the re-directed rivet to thereby squeeze out the rivet member from the branch portion, and a restoring mechanism for bending back and restoring the initial orientation of the branch portion bent by the re-directing means and leading the restored branch portion back to the guide space.

  • Patent number: 4566924
Abstract: Fixation of a stud on a workpiece is accomplished by depositing hotmelt adhesive agent on a fitting base of the stud, fastening the stud to a rotary tool, rotating the stud with the fitting base pressed against the workpiece and, after the adhesive agent has been activated to a prescribed extent by the heat of friction, stopping the rotation of the stud and pressing the fitting base against the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4529957
Abstract: A thermal cutout fuse comprises a housing, a first lead wire thrust into the housing, a movable contact connected to the first lead wire, a stationary contact disposed around the movable contact and electrically connected to a second lead wire, a coil spring having resilient force of bending elasticity large enough to support the movable contact and separate the movable contact from the stationary contact, a thermally sensitive pellet having a melting point which conforms to the preset unsafe temperature and disposed within the housing, and a solid member interposed between the thermally sensitive pellet and the movable contact and adapted to bring the movable contact into contact with the stationary contact against the bending elasticity of the coil spring.

  • Patent number: 4506417
Abstract: A fastener for securing in position a string to be used for gathering the skirt of a coat or the open edge of a pouch, for example, is constructed of a housing provided therein with a blind cavity, a sliding member admitted into the blind cavity of the housing, and a spring interposed between the housing and the sliding member; the housing and the sliding member being respectively provided laterally therein with perforations and insertion holes adapted to come into mutual coincidence when the sliding member is pushed into the housing against the energizing force of the spring. Since opposed end portions of a given string can be inserted sidewise through the coinciding insertion holes into the perforations, this string fastener can be used advantageously without requiring the opposed end portions of the string to be always kept in mutual contact. It imposes no limitation upon the length of the string to be tied and enjoys ease of handling.

  • Patent number: 4479601
Abstract: A rivet driver for easily fastening a rivet comprising a male shank and a female tube to separate members has a construction such that the separate members may be united by hydraulically driving the male shank into the female tube to thereby cause the female tube to be radially expanded outwardly and that upon completion of this hydraulic driving, it feeds a subsequent rivet to the supply position and is ready for next driving of the male shank into the female tube of the subsequent rivet.
