  • Patent number: 11927225
Abstract: A sliding spline shaft device of the present invention includes a male spline and a female spline that is fitted to the male spline in an axially slidable manner, and at least one of the splines has a surface processed layer. The surface processed layer includes an undercoat layer, an intermediate layer containing phosphate, and a topcoat layer containing solid lubricant, in this order. The undercoat layer contains iron nitride and/or iron carbide. Thus, the surface of a base material has high hardness. As a result, microscopic deformation of the sliding surface is reduced, and increase in a real contact area is suppressed, whereby stick-slip is prevented.

  • Patent number: 9108388
Abstract: Disclosed is an electromagnetic wave absorbent which exhibits high electromagnetic wave absorption performance over a wide band. The electromagnetic wave absorbent contains a conductive fiber sheet which is obtained by coating a fiber sheet base with a conductive polymer and has a surface resistivity within a specific range. The conductive fiber sheet is formed by impregnating a fiber sheet base such as a nonwoven fabric with an aqueous oxidant solution that contains a dopant, and then bringing the resulting fiber sheet base into contact with a gaseous monomer for a conductive polymer, so that the monomer is oxidatively polymerized thereon.

  • Patent number: 8008040
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a process according to which 5-ene-3-one or 3,6-dione derivatives of sterols can be synthesized with a better yield, as well as a process for production of lipid metabolism improvers, foods, drinks, and animal feeds containing the 5-ene-3-one or 3,6-dione derivatives of sterols. The process for production of 5-ene-3-one or 3,6-dione derivatives of sterols of the present invention involves preparing a culturing solution containing an Arthrobacter bacterium, which is a microorganism exhibiting a cholesterol oxidase activity, and then, adding to the culturing solution an equivalent amount of hexane so as to prepare a bilayer solution consisting of an aqueous layer and a hydrocarbon-based solvent layer. Thereafter, sterol, or a derivative thereof, is made as a substrate contained therein, a reaction performed with cholesterol oxidase at 30° C. for 2 days, and, ethanol then added to separate a hydrocarbon-based solvent layer.

  • Publication number: 20030078882
Abstract: A loyalty program using a smart card enables realtime customer information analysis at a shop. Customer services are improved by conveniently and realtime providing results of analyzing each customer's usage status and tendency. A smart card application program analyzes customer information. Since the smart card has just a limited capacity and calculation capability, the card is incapable of complicated calculation and storing a large amount of log data. To solve this problem, a recurrence formula is used for calculating a value representing the customer's buying habit. There is provided a plurality of parameters needed for the calculation in order to enable determination of loyal customers according to different evaluation criteria such as a score based on the most recent purchase amount or the continuity. In addition, a shop card is used for point management to more economically enable customer information analysis at shops.

  • Patent number: 6481350
Abstract: A self-cleaning web-threading apparatus for a web-fed printing press includes guide rails, a web leader, driver and a detergent supply. The guide rails define a web guideway along which a web is to be threaded through a printing press. The web leader travels along the web guideway in sliding engagement with the guide rails for threading the web through the press. The web leader is fabricated at least partially from a detergent-absorbent material for sliding contact with the guide rails. The driver drives the web leader along the web guideway. The detergent supply is disposed in a selected position on the web guideway for supplying a detergent to the web leader traveling along the web guideway to impregnate it with the detergent. The guide rails are cleaned by the detergent-impregnated web leader as it travels in sliding contact therewith.

  • Patent number: 6443061
Abstract: A disklike rotary switch is installed at a junction of four web-threading guideways in a rotary printing press, for use in switching a web, being threaded through the press preparatory to printing, from one to another of the guideways. The web-threading guideways are of radial arrangement, constantly spaced 45 degrees from one another, about the axis of rotation of the switch. The switch has defined therein two orthogonally intersecting, rectilinear switching guideways, each for intercommunicating one pair of web-threading guideways opposed to each other across the switch, and two arcuate switching guideways each for intercommunicating two of the web-threading guideways that are adjacent each other circumferentially of the switch. A single fluid-actuated cylinder is used for driving the switch between two preassigned angular positions. A tandem connection of two such cylinders is used in an alternative embodiment for driving the switch between three positions.

  • Publication number: 20020112236
Abstract: A loyalty program with game that executes games on a smart card, wherein the loyalty program with game can also be used as a simple loyalty program without game, no major modifications need not be made to shop terminals, and the number of times customers can play games can be limited according to sales amounts, wherein point data managed by a point application is divided into two types: “pre-game points” and “post-game points.” In shops, points are added to the pre-game points. For game execution, the pre-game points are subtracted, and points gained by game are added to the post-game points. Shop terminals need not be modified, and customers not to play game can also enjoy reasonable exchange of gained points. From the viewpoint of system management, by limiting the number of times customers can play game, points gained by game can be prevented from circulating infinitely.

  • Publication number: 20020023564
Abstract: A continuous web of paper to be printed upon is unwound from its roll and, pasted to a pair of web leaders, thereby threaded through the printing press along any of a set of predefined alternative web guideways for each specific printing job. Each web guideway is defined by a pair of guide rails extending on either side of the guideway in parallel spaced relationship to each other. The pair of web leaders travel along the guideway by being slidably engaged one between each pair of guide rails. Since the guide rails are susceptible to dirt accumulation, due mostly to ink mist, the web leaders are each covered with woven fabric or like detergent-absorbent material for sliding contact with the guide rails. One or more detergent supply mechanisms are provided in positions of vantage along the web guideway in order to impregnate, as by roller-coating or spraying, each web leader with a detergent.
