  • Publication number: 20030036342
Abstract: The center of a turntable 30 moves around the central axial line of an autoroation disk 20 along the circular orbit C of a smaller diameter than that of an autorotation disk 20. Thus, the turntable 30 revolves both around a center point O and on its own axis in accordance with an autorotation of the autorotation disk 20. A polishing holder 60 holds a connector of an optical fiber polished by a polishing film 41 arranged on the upper plane of the turntable 30. An optical fiber end face polishing machine provided with a memory 85 for storing a control program which allows a control device 80 to execute predetermined polishing steps, the control device 80 being for controlling an autorotation motor 16 of the turntable 30 and a revolution motor 14 thereof.

  • Publication number: 20020029474
Abstract: First a plurality of grooves is formed by operating a grooving punch along the length of each of slits to be made. Then, each slit is formed in the pipe by operating a hole-making punch having the ends at an acute angle and, recessed from the ends toward the center thereof. In view of the fact that each groove is formed beforehand in the surface of the pipe to be machined and that the corresponding slit is made while moving the cutting positions of the hole-making punch slowly from the ends, a large load is not exerted on the pipe at one tire and therefore the pipe is not crushed, burrs are not generated and the cutting chip is removed.

  • Patent number: 6165055
Abstract: A polishing holder arm includes a polishing holder mounting/dismounting device having a base section supported by a base plate through a horizontally rotational shaft to permit the device to rotate and move upward from an approximately horizontal position and the other end section engaged with the polishing holder H. The holder H includes a coupling section whose rotation is restricted by the polishing holder arm and which is detachably coupled with the polishing holder mounting/dismounting device at a center. A polishing force applying device A moves between a position where it applies a downward spring urging force to the polishing holder arm and a position where it permits the polishing holder arm to rotate and move upward. With this arrangement, the optical fiber end surface polishing device causes the polishing holder H to be easily mounded and dismounted on and from the polishing holder arm; can adjust a polishing force double and permits the polishing holder arm to jump upward and rotate at least 90.

  • Patent number: 6122075
Abstract: According to this invention, a controlled image quality is obtained without adjustment with respect to a short range of environmental changes in temperature, humidity and the like, and feedback control is easily performed for controlled variables over a long range to cope with changes with time, and the like. In the two-component non-contact development, the image density becomes stable irrespective of any environmental changes in temperature, humidity and the like when the developing bias AC voltage in the developer unit is a predetermined value. At the same developing bias AC voltage, when the rotating speed of the development roll is changed, the image density varies While making the developing bias AC voltage and the development roller rotating speed variable at the same time, a reference pattern is prepared on a banner sheet to measure the image density with an optical sensor.

  • Patent number: 6029255
Abstract: When an I/O request block is received from a file system, a number-of-system's-failures setting section stores the present number of failures in the I/O request block, and hands over the I/O request block to a software driver after taking a checkpoint. When the I/O request block is received from the software driver, a number-of-failures determining section determines whether or not the number of failures stored in the I/O request block coincides with the present number of failures. If they do not coincide, an I/O request error return section will return the I/O request block to the software driver without handing over it to a device driver and causes an I/O request completion processing section to reissue the I/O request block again.

  • Patent number: 5887223
Abstract: An unfixed toner image of a reference pattern is formed on a photosensitive member, the unfixed toner image is measured by a development density sensor 13, and the amount of toner to be supplied to a developing device 4 is controlled by a toner supply control unit 60 on the basis of a measurement output, thereby maintaining the image quality constant. If it is judged from a result of a detection of a state amount such as the temperature and the humidity by a state amount sensor 19 that there is a fear that the image quality exceeds an allowable range, a fixed image of a reference pattern is formed on a record medium such as a banner sheet, and the fixed image is measured by an optical sensor 10. Operation amounts such as the charge amount and the exposure value of an image output unit 100 are controlled by an image density control unit 20, thereby maintaining the image quality to be within the allowable range.

  • Patent number: 5822204
Abstract: A target density accomplishment line is a line at which a control case plane and a target density plane intersect each other. If present control contents are plotted on the target density accomplishment line, it means that a target density is accomplished. It is not correct to say that any point on the target density accomplishment line can be employed. A point on the target density accomplishment line which should be employed needs to also satisfy optimization rules for respective manipulated variables. By applying bias and laser power optimization rules are applied to the points on the target density accomplishment line, a combination of bias and laser power set values that maximizes the product of bias and laser power optimization rule satisfaction levels is selected.

  • Patent number: 5812903
Abstract: Operation variables such as laser power, grid voltage, and developing bias are corrected by using image-density controlling rules so as to control the image density. Control of toner supply is also effected by using the image-density controlling rules. A solid density reference pattern corresponding to actual values of the operation variables is measured, and a rule which fits the solid density is used to correct the operation variables. A solid density to be obtained with standard values of the operation variables is calculated by using the composed rule. A standard solid density for a standard toner concentration or a standard toner charge amount is outputted, and is compared with the calculated solid density. The toner supply is controlled in such a manner that an error between the two solid densities becomes zero, to thereby ensure that the toner concentration in a developing device or the toner charge amount reaches a standard value.
