  • Publication number: 20040060332
Abstract: The present invention advantageously provides a key that poses tremendous difficulty for a lock breaker by not allowing the lock breaker to see all of the pin tumblers in the keyway. The keyway according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a curvature such that one cannot see the end of the keyway. The present invention further comprises a key having flexibility for fitting into the keyway having a curvature to turn the plug and open the lock.

  • Publication number: 20040015615
Abstract: A method for performing data transfer of keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) switch, especially referring to a method that can make the KVM switch transmit data to or receive data from multiple computers simultaneously. The method includes steps as: storing peripheral data ready for transfer in data registers; setting transmit flag register (Tx flag) and receive flag register; transferring (Rx flag) a bit of the peripheral data from each of the data registers to each of the data pins during a clock cycle at each of the I/O ports corresponding to the Tx flag set; receiving a bit of control data from each of the data pin and storing the bit of said control data to each of the data register during the clock cycle at each of the I/O ports corresponding to the Rx flag set. Thereby, the method can transmit data to or receive data from multiple computers simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20030095188
Abstract: A method and apparatus for adjusting image distortion is disclosed. In the adjustment process: a test pattern image is first output to a display device; the test pattern image appearing on the screen of the display device is captured by a image-capturing device; the image signal is output to a computer to calculate the distortion factor in relation to a display device, based on which a compensation factor is derived from its inverse relation; and the compensation factor is added to the actual image signal and output to the display device. The image output on the screen of the display will be a distortion-free image, due to the canceling of the deflection tendency on the display device by the compensated image signals.

  • Publication number: 20020087969
Abstract: An interactive TV content creation tool imports video and other assets, including WebPages, Java script, etc., as a series of resources for interactive TV content creation for real time audience estimation and program ratings. A processing system embeds hyperlinks into one or more objects contained in a program frame as desired. Each hotlink has attributes. These attributes include shape, name, description and Z-order. The hotlink can have one of several shapes, including rectangle, ellipse and parallelogram. The hotlink types are included in an object tree which is displayed in a window to a creator. A hotlink type is selected in the hotlink tree, and a window displays a linked properties tab available for the selected object. There are several link types available; linking to a URL, another interactive TV content file, a video clip, an audio clip, an image, or a tracking action and transaction action. There are different parameters for different actions. One parameter is a tracking script.

  • Publication number: 20020087988
Abstract: An interactive TV contextual content surfing method, system and program product enables viewers to surf from one related program to another through hyperlinking. A TV broadcast station receives interactive TV program content generated by creators. The content is categorized by the creator and provided to the broadcast station in the MPEG or web-streaming video/audio formats. A broadcast server stores a dynamic table of correspondence between TV program categories and TV channel numbers. The hyperlinking information contains a list of channels that broadcast the same nature of programs by referencing the correspondence table. The server broadcasts the hyperlinking information to the list of channels. The broadcast network carries the TV programs and associated classification information in separate channels to the local TV station for retransmission to TV devices including set-top boxes.

  • Patent number: 6399461
Abstract: A process for fabricating silicon oxide filled, shallow trench isolation (STI), regions, in a semiconductor substrate, featuring the use of a disposable boro-phosphosilicate glass (BPSG), layer, used for planarization of various width, silicon oxide filled, STI regions, has been developed. After completely filling all STI shapes with a high density plasma (HDP), silicon oxide layer, resulting in a non-planar, HDP silicon oxide top surface topography, a BPSG layer is deposited. An anneal procedure is then performed resulting in a planar top surface topography of the reflowed BPSG layer. A chemical mechanical polishing procedure is next employed to remove the planar, reflowed BPSG layer, and portions of the underlying HDP silicon oxide, from the top surface of a silicon nitride stop layer, resulting in a planar top surface topography for all silicon oxide filled, insulator regions.

  • Patent number: 6181123
Abstract: A digital programmable DC—DC voltage-down converter which can be used in a low voltage and low power digital circuit design is disclosed. The DC—DC voltage-down converter includes at least a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO), a pulse-width modulator (PWM), a gate driver, and a switching-type voltage-down converter. Duty cycle and operating frequency of the modulated signal are controlled by using two digital control signals. Furthermore, combining the pulse-width modulator and the digitally controlled oscillator (DCO), the duty cycle of the generated clock is more robustly stable for different frequencies during process variation.

  • Patent number: 4727299
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a rocker with a curved base, and an activating base supporting and continuously activating the rocker. Two magnets, whose north poles point in opposite directions, one upward and the other downward, are respectively disposed on either side, towards which rocker rocks, of the center of gravity of the curved base. A first induction coil is set within the activating base and under the rocker so as to produce induced a current when the rocker is rocking in the direction of one of the two magnets. An operational amplifier integrated circuit (OP AMP IC) is provided within the activating base so as to amplify the induced current. A second induction coil, which is connected to the output of the OP AMP IC, is provided so as to induce a magnetic field. This magnetic field applies an attractive force on the magnet when it moves closer to the activating base, and a repelling force on the other magnet moving away from the activating base so as to activate the rocking means.
