  • Patent number: 9127892
Abstract: The present invention relates to an evaporator, and more particularly, to an evaporator which can restrict a surface area of a communication hole with respect to a cross sectional area of a compartment and a surface area of a tube with respect to a surface area of a fin, thereby providing a dimensional extent for maximizing the heat exchange efficiency. Therefore, by optimizing a relation between the surface area of the communication portion and the surface area of the compartment of the first header tank and dimensions for each surface area and the heights of the tube and fin, the present invention provides a dimensional extent for maximizing the heat radiation amount, reducing the maximum temperature deviation of the core portion and allowing the refrigerant and air to be smoothly flowed, thereby maximizing the heat exchange efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8701750
Abstract: One or more embodiments of the present invention relates to a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger comprises a pair of header-tanks having at least one partition wall and at least one baffle; a plurality of tubes; and a plurality of fins. A communication hole is formed on the partition wall that is positioned at a region disposed between the baffle and one end of the header-tank adjacent to the baffle. Given that a distance from the baffle to the one end of the header-tank is 100%, 1˜4 communication holes are formed at positions on the partition wall which corresponds to an extent of 0˜50%, 65˜100%, or an extent of 0˜50% and an extent of 65˜100%.

  • Publication number: 20140069136
Abstract: Provided is a cold-storage heat exchanger. The cold-storage heat exchanger includes a pair of header tanks, and tubes which are arranged in three rows with respect to the direction of the flow of air and connected at opposite sides thereof to the header tanks. A cold-storage medium is stored in the tubes that are disposed in a middle row, and refrigerant circulates through the tubes that are disposed in front and rear rows. Therefore, the cold-storage medium can effectively store cold-energy transferred from the refrigerant. When the engine of a vehicle is stopping, the cold-storage heat exchanger can discharge the cold-energy that has been stored into the passenger compartment of the vehicle, thus preventing the temperature in the passenger compartment from rapidly increasing, thereby creating pleasant air-conditioned conditions for a user, and minimizing the energy and time required to re-cool the passenger compartment.
