  • Publication number: 20080137521
Abstract: A data storage device using magnetic domain wall motion may include a first magnetic layer having a plurality of magnetic domains. A second magnetic layer may be connected to the first magnetic layer, and a connection layer may be disposed between the first and second magnetic layers. A resistive magnetic layer may be disposed between each of the first and second magnetic layers and the connection layer. Accordingly, when current is supplied to the data storage device to move a magnetic domain wall, the leakage of current in a connection between the magnetic layers may be reduced or prevented, thus conserving power.

  • Publication number: 20060127447
Abstract: The present invention relates to a poly-gamma-glutamate (PGA) having an ultra-high molecular weight greater than 5,000 kDa. The ultra-high molecular weight PGA according to the present invention has a mean molecular weight greater than 13,000 kDa, and more than 95% of its molecules have a molecular weight ranging from 3,000 to 15,000 kDa. Also, it can be produced by the culturing of Bacillus subtilis var. chungkookjang. The ultra-high molecular weight PGA according to the present invention shows very excellent moisture-absorbing, moisture-retaining, sustained release, mineral solubility, and water-absorbing properties, and thus, can be used as a new and high value-added material in various applications.

  • Publication number: 20040265699
Abstract: A lead storage battery electrode and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The lead storage battery electrode includes a substrate, which is casted or expanded using lead, an active material coated on the substrate with electrochemical activities, and support layers and formed by embedding porous nonwoven fabric to a predetermined depth from both surfaces of the active material. The support layers prevent the separation of the active material in the manufacture of the electrode and make handling the active material easier. The porosity of the nonwoven fabric enhances the initial high rate discharge properties of the electrode, and the network structure of the nonwoven fabric, which is acid-resistant, stably supports the active material, so that the life cycle of the lead storage battery is prolonged.
