  • Publication number: 20120281410
Abstract: An illuminating device includes an illuminator with an illuminating mechanism. The illuminating mechanism includes several LEDs. The illuminating device is reversibly fixed by at least one holding device. The holding device includes a guiding device and a wing shaped unit. The wing shaped unit can be fixed and turned on the guiding device and can be guided along the guiding device. The holding device includes an unfolding mechanism. The wing shaped unit is oriented transverse to the guiding device by arranging the unfolding mechanism. The wing shaped unit is completely unfolded at a light emitting side. When the wing shaped unit is guided away from the light emitting side, the wing shaped unit is reversibly folded via a physical contact with a folding mechanism. The span of the light emitting side is greater than the span with the wing shaped unit being folded.

  • Patent number: 8052625
Abstract: A massage device includes an outer casing, a driving mechanism and at least one massage module. The massage module includes an inclined rotary plate coupled to a main gear seat having central massage balls. When the inclined rotary plate rotates, the main gear seat and the central massage ball are driven to rotate. The main gear seat engages with a plurality of planetary gears, each of which is coupled with a massage arm. An upper end of the massage arm has a peripheral massage ball disposed thereon and a lower end of the massage arm contacts with the inclined rotary plate. A rotation of the inclined rotary plate drives massage arms and the peripheral massage balls thereon to rotate via the planetary gear as well as to move the massage arms up and down, thereby providing a massage of kneading and acupressure.

  • Publication number: 20070152812
Abstract: A system and method that uses a non-invasive method, such as a wearable module equipped with sensors placed on a subject connected to a computer-linked module, to monitor life signs like heartbeat waveforms and body temperatures. Life signs indicate the health of a living being or a dynamic system (a mechanical system containing moving parts, like motors). The health of the system is defined by a set of known good spectra (such as its frequency/wavelet transform spectrum), with deviations triggering alerts. A garment embedded with a piezoelectric material and an electronic temperature sensor, when placed in contact with the body, captures acoustic waves from the heart and body temperature. Both sensors are connected to a garment-mounted module with an embedded flexible printed antenna (WEM). A separate WEM with reconfigured daughterboard software forms a bidirectional wireless data connection to a computer.

  • Patent number: RE41676
Abstract: A serial battery charger including a number of serially connected battery charging sections in which the battery charging section is characterized by a first and second parallelly connected branches. The first branch includes terminals for connecting to the battery to be charged and a current blocking device and the second branch includes a by-passing switch which shunts across the terminals of the first branch when activated. The blocking device in the first branch prevents adverse reverse current flow from the battery to the charger when there is no power supply and also functions as a current block to prevent adverse flow of current from the battery into the shunting by-passing switch when the power supply to the charging section is in operation. This invention provides a simple solution to fulfil the conflicting requirements of an intelligent serial battery charger.
