  • Publication number: 20200025855
Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving signals from an unknown transmitting source and providing the location of the unknown transmitting source comprising a series of channels for receiving signals radiated by the unknown transmitting sources, generating preprocessed time domain data and generating a SAR image depicting a location of the unknown transmitting source, and a processor for processing the preprocessed time domain data to enhance a pixel value at each pixel location within the SAR image by summing signal data from each channel related to each pixel location to generate an enhanced SAR image.

  • Publication number: 20190327504
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing media presentations that include content originating from multiple sources in ways that are effectively transparent to end user devices. Manifest data provided to an end user device include a key encoded in the URL for each of the content fragments. The key encodes one or more interstitial periods of secondary content within the overall presentation of primary content. When a media server receives a content request from the end user device, the media server determines from the key encoded in the URL and the range of content requested whether the request corresponds to the primary content or the secondary content.

  • Publication number: 20190049575
Abstract: A radar assembly for receiving signals at spaced frequencies from an unknown transmitting source comprising a receiver operative to receive signals; the receiver comprising a series of channels, each channel comprising a low pass filter configured to allow passage of a signal from an unknown transmitting source, an analog to digital converter configured to transform the signal from the unknown transmitting source to a digital signal, a Hilbert transform configured to transform the digital signal from the unknown transmitting source into a single sideband signal, a Fourier transform configured to transform the single sideband signal into a plurality of regularly spaced frequency samples, and an inverse Fourier transform for extracting regularly spaced frequency samples; whereby extracted pulses form a train of pulses that are inputted into an imager which utilizes synthetic aperture radar to form an image of the area of interest containing the unknown transmitting device and method thereof.

  • Patent number: 9777389
Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating a nanopore in a membrane. The method includes: applying an electric potential across the membrane, where value of the electric potential is selected to induce an electric field which causes a leakage current across the membrane; monitoring current flow across the membrane while the electric potential is being applied; detecting an abrupt increase in the leakage current across the membrane; and removing the electric potential across the membrane in response to detecting the abrupt increase in the leakage current.

  • Publication number: 20170061442
Abstract: Service tracking using beacons may include receiving, at a computing device including a processor, a plurality of beacon identifiers from a plurality of beacons. Each of the plurality of beacon identifiers may be associated with a unique beacon that may be located at a fixed location on a property. The plurality of beacons may form a matrix of beacons. Once the beacon identifiers are received, the computing device may determine a location of the computing device within the matrix of beacons. The location may include a proximity to one of the plurality of beacons. Once the location of the computing device is determined transmit a service request that may be associated with a service selection may be transmitted to a remote computing device. The service request may include service data for performing the service and the location of the computing device within the matrix of beacon.

  • Publication number: 20150032583
Abstract: A method assesses an energy impacting event at a facility using an energy management system. One or more energy consuming endpoints of the facility are sub-metered and data from the sub-metered endpoints is transmitted to the energy management system. A project is created within the EMS by entering project definition attributes including at least a site name, a project name, and a start date. Data from one or more sub-metered channels and a project indicator is displayed. The displayed project indicator is located at a point corresponding to its project start time. A further method tracks the progress of energy saving project at a facility using an energy management system. The project definition attributes further include one or more sub-metered channels, baseline usage data, and an energy related goal. An energy impact value is calculated by subtracting the actual sub-metered usage data from the baseline data and a determination is made whether the energy impact value meets or exceeds the energy goal.
