  • Publication number: 20160374662
Abstract: Soft anchor constructs and methods for soft tissue to bone repairs. The soft anchors may be knotted or knotless constructs. The soft anchors include a body formed of various soft materials (including, but not limited to, suture) and provided in various shapes and configurations that confer the anchors the ability to be easily inserted within bone tunnels or sockets and be bunched up within the bone tunnels or sockets. At least one closed loop or soft eyelet is attached to the soft anchor to allow additional sliding strands and/or shuttle/pull devices (suture passing devices) to pass through the eyelet and aid in the knotted or knotless fixation of tissue to bone.

  • Publication number: 20150351780
Abstract: Instrumentation for elbow reconstruction, specifically, for repairs of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). The instrumentation provides for precise formation of sockets and tunnels along with easy suture/graft passage while accommodating all forms of elbow UCL reconstruction techniques. A V-drill guide is provided with a handle and two drill sleeves having intersecting trajectories for creating an intersecting V-shaped bone tunnel in the ulna. An adjustable humeral guide has an adjustable arm with an arc shape, and a peg and a block extending from each end of the adjustable arm. The peg is shaped to fit within an already-formed humeral socket. The block allows a drill to pass through and form other tunnels which intersect with the originally-formed tunnel at various positions.

  • Publication number: 20150321105
Abstract: A method comprises generating a user profile in a roster management system. The user profile is associated with at least one team of a plurality of teams that together form a league. A player draft associated with the league is monitored. At least some of the teams have an assigned draft position within at least one round of the player draft, the assigned draft position being used by a corresponding team to select a player from a list of available players. The list of available players is updated based on the selection of a player. A team-selected player chosen in the draft position assigned to the at least one team associated with the user profile is identified. A user-selected player chosen from the list of available players in the assigned draft position that corresponds to the at least one team associated with the user profile is stored in a database.

  • Publication number: 20150150594
Abstract: Cannula assemblies and methods of conducting surgeries. The cannula assembly comprises a cannula that is sized for the common 4 mm arthroscopy switching stick, which is put in a one-step fashion with the use of a unique switching stick inserter. All steps for placement of the cannula are performed in a single forward motion, i.e., no backing up of components are necessary for placement. The method of conducting surgery includes the steps of: providing a cannula/switching stick assembly comprising a cannula sized to accommodate a corresponding switching stick, and a switching stick inserter (modular handle) designed to fit on the switching stick, and to help insert and control the switching stick; and inserting the cannula/switching stick assembly through an arthroscopic portal during a surgical procedure, in a single forward motion.

  • Patent number: 7546638
Abstract: Malicious computer code (101) is automatically cleaned-up from a target computer (103). An operating system (109) automatically boots (201) in the computer memory (105) of the target computer (103). The booted operating system (109) automatically runs (203) a malicious code processing script (113) in the computer memory (105) of the target computer (103), under control of the booted operating system (109). The malicious code processing script (113) automatically copies (205) and runs (207) at least one malicious code clean-up script (115). At least one malicious code clean-up script (115) automatically cleans-up (209) malicious code (101) from the target computer (103).

  • Publication number: 20070174047
Abstract: An approach is provided for maintaining natural pitch periodicity of the speech or audio signal when processing a late frame in a predictive decoder. Concealment is performed to replace a late frame. The late frame that includes audio information is detected. A pitch phase difference introduced by the concealment is determined. The pitch phase difference is compensated for before playing out a subsequent frame that follows the late frame.

  • Patent number: 6084764
Abstract: A capacitor assembly which positively disconnects failing capacitors is disclosed. This assembly will disconnect electrical power from a capacitor when internal pressure builds up inside the capacitor as a result of an internal short circuit. One or more capacitors are connected electrically into a circuit. Terminals are fixedly connected at each end of the capacitor. The protruding ends of the terminals slidably couple the capacitor to a source of alternating current (AC) power. The normal failure mode for capacitors is to develop internal short circuits. The failed capacitor then heats up rapidly and generates internal pressure. This pressure deforms the end portion of the capacitor. When the end of the capacitor moves in a longitudinal axis of motion, the slidable connection of the terminal is moved to a non-contacting position and the electrical connection is interrupted.
