Abstract: A hermetic compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having the same are provided. An oil separator is installed either outside or inside of a casing to separate oil from a discharged refrigerant and an oil pump driven by a driving force of a motor is used to recollect the oil separated in the oil separator, whereby the separation between oil and refrigerant can effectively be performed and also a fabricating cost can be reduced. Also, an introduction of the separated refrigerant back into the compressor can be prevented so as to improve a cooling capability of the refrigeration cycle device. In addition, the oil pump is driven by the driving force of the motor, resulting in a simple configuration of the compressor and a reduction of a fabricating cost of the compressor.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the semiconductor memory device includes a semiconductor substrate having projecting portions, a tunnel insulation layer formed over at least one of the projecting semiconductor substrate portions, and a floating gate structure disposed over the tunnel insulation layer. An upper portion of the floating gate structure is wider than a lower portion of the floating gate structure, and the lower portion of the floating gate structure has a width less than a width of the tunnel insulating layer. First insulation layer portions are formed in the semiconductor substrate and project from the semiconductor substrate such that the floating gate structure is disposed between the projecting first insulation layer portions. A dielectric layer is formed over the first insulation layer portions and the floating gate structure, and a control gate is formed over the dielectric layer.

Abstract: A compressor and oil separation device therefore are provided. The oil separation device is integrated with a compressor and includes a first case having a refrigerant inlet into which a refrigerant mixed with oil is sucked and an oil recollecting member through which oil separated from the refrigerant flows, and a second case positioned outside of the first case and having a refrigerant outlet through which refrigerant separated from an oil is discharged. With this constructions, a pipe connecting the compressor and a separate oil separation device is not required, thereby reducing fabrication costs and facilitating installation.

Abstract: A method of fabricating an integrated circuit device includes forming a plurality of lower capacitor electrodes vertically extending from a substrate. The plurality of lower capacitor electrodes respectively include an inner sidewall and an outer sidewall. At least one support pattern is formed vertically extending between ones of the plurality of lower capacitor electrodes from top portions thereof opposite the substrate and along the outer sidewalls thereof towards the substrate to a depth that is greater than a lateral distance between adjacent ones of the plurality of lower capacitor electrodes. A dielectric layer is formed on the support pattern and on outer sidewalls of the plurality of lower capacitor electrodes, and an upper capacitor electrode is formed on the dielectric layer. Abstract: A system and method for analyzing the motions of an object based on the silhouettes of the object are provided. The system includes a foreground detector, a contour extractor, a model generator, a corner histogram generator, and a value of similarity measuring unit. The foreground detector detects a moving foreground object from an input image. The contour extractor extracts silhouette contour of the detected foreground object, and the model generator generates mean value histogram models as references to determine motions of the object.

A disclosed pointing device includes a light source emitting light rays to a subject; a contact member comprising a lattice type or perceivable pattern, which reflects an image of the moving subject; and an automatic transfer device restoring the contact member moved by a finger. The pointing device may further include a flip chip containing an image sensor, which converts the acquired image into an electronic signal, and a circuit for signal processing. The pointing device may include an integrated optical structure comprising a condensing lens, a specular surface, a light output part, and an image-formation lens. The pointing device may include a light guide structure that a parallel light prism lens, an image-formation lens, and a mask for blocking disturbance ray are formed into a single part.

Abstract: A plasma display apparatus and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel including a scan electrode, and a scan driver. The scan driver supplies a setup pulse to the scan electrode through resonance between the plasma display panel and a setup inductor. The method of driving the plasma display apparatus includes supplying a first voltage to the scan electrode during a reset period, and supplying a pulse gradually rising from the first voltage to a second voltage to the scan electrode during the reset period through resonance between the plasma display panel and the inductor.

Abstract: Disclosed is a multimedia program download system and method of an apparatus equipped with a multimedia processor, which is capable of downloading a mass of multimedia program through a host interface without using a boot ROM. The present invention provides a multimedia program download control system and method including a multimedia processor efficiently used for system configuration of mobile devices or PDAs, which is capable of downloading a multimedia program to drive a system faster than conventional multimedia program download control systems and methods and constructing a board system simply. The multimedia program download control system of an apparatus is equipped with a multimedia processor in which a multimedia program is downloaded from a host processor and is stored in a program area of a SDRAM. The multimedia processor comprises a host interface, a GDMA (General Purpose Direct Memory Access), a CPU and a reset controller.

A molding hole is placed in the semiconductor substrate on the active region. A pocket insulating layer pattern conformally covers the molding hole. A pocket line extends across the active region, filling the molding hole and protruding from the main surface of the semiconductor substrate. The pocket line includes a pocket conductive layer line, a lower metal layer line, and an upper metal layer line, which are sequentially stacked on the pocket insulating later pattern. The device further may further include a line capping layer pattern placed on the pocket line. Abstract: A negative resist composition used in a liquid-crystal display element is disclosed. The negative resist composition according to the present invention includes a binder resin consisting of a copolymer including four predetermined monomers, a (meth)acryl monomer including at least 3 (meth)acryl groups, a (meth)acryl monomer including one or two (meth)acryl groups and a photo-initiator. The negative resist composition according to the present invention may be useful to significantly increase the manufacturing yield because it shows an extremely low brittleness during a bonding process or a hot process due to good physical properties such as film retention, pattern stability, adhesion to a substrate, and chemical resistance, as well as good flexibility upon formation of the pattern.

Abstract: A method of generating a photomask order used to manufacture photomasks using a tooling specification generating system including generating a tooling specification by creating, modifying and/or deleting components of a logical operation that is represented by the tooling specification. Information required for the logical operation may be imported from an external source, such as a database, and/or may be chosen from look-up lists. Aliases for the operators that make up expressions in the logical operation may be modified as desired by the photomask customer. The format of the tooling specification may be verified by the photomask customer's computer system. The tooling specification is sent to a computer system of a photomask manufacturer in various proprietary and industry standard formats for analysis of the tooling specification, and the photomask design may be simulated using the tooling specification.
