  • Patent number: 8274944
Abstract: A method and apparatus using Virtual Circuit Switching (VCS) in a new scheme are provided for allocating and employing resources by combining Circuit Switching (CS) and Packet Switching (PS), in which a base station allocates resources of a dedicated channel using the CS to a user and then transmits data on the dedicated channel. When data is not transmitted to the user, the base station allocates the allocated dedicated channel resources for resources of a shared channel and transmits data of a different user. Therefore, system capacity can be increased and a waste of communication resources can be minimized in a wireless communication system for frequently transmitting a small amount of traffic that is sensitive to a delay time.

  • Publication number: 20120236956
Abstract: A method from transmitting data via multiple antennas. In this method, four information bits to be transmitted are multiplexed by using either one of a code division multiplexing scheme or a second code division multiplexing scheme combined with a real and imaginary multiplexing scheme, to generate a code division multiplexed symbol including four vectors. Then, the code division multiplexed symbol is repeatedly transmitted by alternatively applying two transmit diversity schemes via four transmission antennas.

  • Patent number: 8254428
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving pilot symbols for demodulation of control channel information in the uplink of a wireless communication system are provided. When an Evolved Node B (ENB) expects to receive both the Channel Quality Information (CQI) and the Acknowledgement (ACK)/Negative ACK (NACK) from a User Equipment (UE) in a certain subframe, if the UE transmits only the CQI channel, the ENB is prevented to detect the nonexistent ACK/NACK information from the CQI channel, thereby avoiding false alarm.

  • Publication number: 20120202544
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting the transmission power of a terminal in a wireless communication system. Particularly, the initial transmission power by means of which the terminal transmits a signal via an uplink non-anchor carrier is determined by reflecting the transmission power by means of which the terminal has most recently transmitted a signal via an uplink anchor carrier and by reflecting the difference between channel environments of the uplink anchor carrier and the uplink non-anchor carrier, in a wireless communication system using a broadband formed by carrier aggregation. Consequently, the initial transmission power of the terminal is set as accurately as possible in the uplink non-anchor carrier, thereby preventing signal transmission delay and improving the reliability of received signals.
