The support members are disposed between the display panel and the backlight unit corresponding to the first and second edge sections, and the support members space the display panel from the backlight unit. A spacing distance between the display panel and the backlight in each of the first and second edge sections is greater than a spacing distance between the display panel and the backlight unit in the middle section.
