Abstract: Biocompatible materials that have the ability to release nitric oxide (NO) in situ at the surface-blood interface when in contact with blood. The materials which may be polymers (e.g., polyurethane, poly(vinyl chloride), silicone rubbers), metals, such as stainless steel, carbon, and the like are provided with biocatalysts or biomimetic catalysts on their surface that have nitrite, nitrate, and/or nitrosothiol-reducing capability. Illustratively, the catalysts are adsorbed or immobilized at the surface of the material. Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for modeling and analyzing a network simulation for a salable simulation framework (SSF)-based network simulation package. A system logic set is generated and a network simulation modeling suitable for a predetermined network application is formed according to the system logic set. The network simulation modeling is transmitted to a predetermined network simulation package that performs simulation. Statistical information is generated based on the result according to the system logic set. Complicated network simulation modeling errors can be minimized, and remodeling of the network simulation modeling can be reduced.

Abstract: A mobile station apparatus for determining reverse transmission power in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing system is provided. A reception module receives from a base station a Reverse-Link Assignment Message including a Packet Format (PF) field and a Reverse-Link Power Control (RLPC) field. A power level adjuster determines a nominal reverse transmission power level depending on information of the PF field, and determines a relative final transmission power level shifted by an offset value defined in the RLPC field from the nominal transmission power level.

Abstract: A capacitor assembly includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a dielectric portion, a body and a conductive cover. The second electrode overlaps the first electrode. The dielectric portion is interposed between the first and second electrodes. The body surrounds an outer surface of the dielectric portion, the first electrode and the second electrode, and partially exposes end portions of the first and second electrodes. The conductive cover covers a side surface of the body, and has a greater width than a width of each of the end portions of the first and second electrodes. Therefore, yield of the capacitor assembly is increased, and defects are decreased.

Abstract: Provided is a method for transmitting feedback information by a receiver in a mobile communication system that performs multiplexing transmission using array antennas. The method includes determining a weight set for maximizing a data rate among at least one weight set having, as its elements, multiple orthonormal weight vectors, based on a fading channel estimated from a pilot channel of received data; estimating channel state information corresponding to a weight vector of the determined weight set; and generating and transmitting feedback information including an index of the determined weight set, the selected weight vector information, and the channel state information corresponding to the weight vector.

Abstract: A method and apparatus using Virtual Circuit Switching (VCS) in a new scheme are provided for allocating and employing resources by combining Circuit Switching (CS) and Packet Switching (PS), in which a base station allocates resources of a dedicated channel using the CS to a user and then transmits data on the dedicated channel. When data is not transmitted to the user, the base station allocates the allocated dedicated channel resources for resources of a shared channel and transmits data of a different user. Therefore, system capacity can be increased and a waste of communication resources can be minimized in a wireless communication system for frequently transmitting a small amount of traffic that is sensitive to a delay time.
