  • Publication number: 20240142037
Abstract: A system and method for detecting blockages or leaks in a piping system. A water-resistant pill sensor is tracked while it travels through the piping system. The pill sensor's travel speed, travel time, movement, images, audio, and/or other data determines if a leak or blockage exists, and if so, an electronic notification detailing the blockage or leak, its location, and corrective action is sent.

  • Publication number: 20240141611
Abstract: A system and method for measuring water pressure on a foundation. Sensors may provide data related to the environment surrounding a foundation. Analysis of the sensor data determines properties of the environment, which may include a foundation water pressure. The system and method may determine damage to the foundation based upon the foundation water pressure.

  • Publication number: 20240100288
Abstract: Hybrid ventilation apparatuses, systems and methods are provided. Some example mechanical ventilation apparatuses include a gas delivery system, at least one oxygen concentrator for generating oxygen enriched gas for delivery to a patient, at least one pressurized oxygen source for providing oxygen for delivery to the patient, and a controller. Based at least in part on an FIO2 setting for the gas to be delivered to the patient, the controller may determine an oxygen enriched gas flow rate of the oxygen enriched gas and a pressurized oxygen source flow rate of the oxygen from the at least one pressurized oxygen source, for the gas to be delivered to the patient. The controller may control the gas delivery system to deliver the gas to the patient in accordance with the FIO2 setting, the determined oxygen enriched gas flow rate, and the determined pressurized oxygen source flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20230017753
Abstract: A simple hand held label degrading device and method employs a molded polymer ring (collar) having a plurality of molded hardened pointed teeth on the internal circumference projecting radially inward for degrading the label of a prescription bottle or the like inserted therein. A longitudinal slot in the collar allows it to be fitted over a bottle such that simple hand squeezing of the collar compresses the collar around the bottle and engages the pointed teeth against the label. Simple hand twisting of the collar around the bottle in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation cuts through the plastic composite or paper label and shreds the label rendering sensitive information illegible thus protecting personal health information. The bottles can then be thrown away or recycled without fear of medical identity theft.

  • Patent number: 9605672
Abstract: A reciprocating-rod seal (10) comprising a one-piece rigid support (20) and a one-piece elastomeric body (30) bonded to the rigid support (20). A notch (40) separates an ID fluidside portion (41) of the elastomeric body (30) from an OD fluidside portion (42) of the elastomeric body (30), and the ID fluidside portion (41) forms a sealing lip (43). A groove (50) separates an ID airside portion (51) of the elastomeric body (30) from an OD airside portion (52) of the elastomeric body (30), and the ID airside portion (51) forms a wiping lip (53). The sealing lip (43) prevents fluid escape during forward and return strokes of a reciprocating rod, and the wiping lip (53) removes dirt, dust, or other debris from the rod during return strokes. The seal (10) can serve as the primary seal for a mudpump pony rod and/or a mudpump plunger rod.

  • Patent number: 9575640
Abstract: Complex collaboration or decision support applications perform complex design or planning tasks, often with the input of large groups of people over long periods of time. The combination of time and complexity can often obscure past actions, making it difficult to remember the factors that influenced earlier stages in the planning task. This is especially true if the task involves many people and different people work at different times. The application state navigation system provides an application-independent mechanism that allows operators to walk back through the history of the application in order to better understand (or remember) the application actions that were taken in the past and the triggers for those actions.

  • Patent number: 9424106
Abstract: A system for distributed information processing and interaction includes a plurality of output devices arranged to produce a respective output portion of a system output, a plurality of application processors and a state server in data communication with the plurality of application processors. Each respective output portion is defined by context information. Each application processor is configured to process one or more respective application programs and is responsive to the context information. Each application processor is coupled with an associated respective output device for controlling the output device in producing the respective output portion. The state server provides the context information to the plurality of application processors. The architecture is extended to a more general system in which output devices produce a variety of outputs including device actuations, as well as video displays, and receive a variety of inputs.
