  • Publication number: 20150233371
Abstract: A reciprocating-rod seal (10) comprising a one-piece rigid support (20) and a one-piece elastomeric body (30) bonded to the rigid support (20). A notch (40) separates an ID fluidside portion (41) of the elastomeric body (30) from an OD fluidside portion (42) of the elastomeric body (30), and the ID fluidside portion (41) forms a sealing lip (43). A groove (50) separates an ID airside portion (51) of the elastomeric body (30) from an OD airside portion (52) of the elastomeric body (30), and the ID airside portion (51) forms a wiping lip (53). The sealing lip (43) prevents fluid escape during forward and return strokes of a reciprocating rod, and the wiping lip (53) removes dirt, dust, or other debris from the rod during return strokes. The seal (10) can serve as the primary seal for a mudpump pony rod and/or a mudpump plunger rod.

  • Publication number: 20140364654
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for monetization of natural gas by producing fuel grade dimethyl ether (DME). The process includes three reactive stages with the first reactive stage being the conversion of natural gas into syngas, the second reactive stage being the conversion of syngas into crude methanol and the third reactive stage being the production of fuel grade dimethyl ether. • Patent number: 8906846
Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods for treating disorders of the mucosal tract such as the gastrointestinal system by targeting CLIP molecules. The methods are based on that CLIP in the groove of MHC class I or II molecules of the cells lining the mucosal surfaces of the body, such as the gastrointestinal tract, provides protection from MHC Class II or MHC class I mediated cell death, and therefore are useful for treating, inhibiting the development of a multitude of illnesses and conditions of the mucosal tract, including autoimmune disease.

  • Patent number: 8791165
Abstract: This invention discloses a method for making a dimethylether (DME) product from a synthesis gas (syngas) in the presence of a catalyst in a fluid pluralized bed reactor operating in the gas phase. The reactions generate a significant amount of heat and the heat management is balanced between supplying quench recycle syngas to the pluralized sections along the reactor and also by controlling the preheat temperature of the reactant streams. Gas phase fluidization of the catalyst is controlled so that the pluralized reactive zones are maintained in a backmix configuration.

  • Patent number: 8546454
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for the production of fuel grade DME from carbonaceous fuels, including a pressurized multi-stage progressively expanding fluidized bed gasifier and an oxyblown autothermal reformer to produce a synthesis gas (syngas) with desirable hydrogen to carbon monoxide molar ratio, which then undergoes gas-phase DME one-step direct synthesis in a fluid pluralized bed reactor over an attrition resistant bifunctional catalyst. The crude DME thus obtained is purified in a two column distillation unit to produce a fuel grade DME having a purity greater than 99.98 mole %.

Abstract: A system for distributed information processing and interaction includes a plurality of output devices arranged to produce a respective output portion of a system output, a plurality of application processors and a state server in data communication with the plurality of application processors. Each respective output portion is defined by context information. Each application processor is configured to process one or more respective application programs and is responsive to the context information. Each application processor is coupled with an associated respective output device for controlling the output device in producing the respective output portion. The state server provides the context information to the plurality of application processors. The architecture is extended to a more general system in which output devices produce a variety of outputs including device actuations, as well as video displays, and receive a variety of inputs.

  • Publication number: 20120266102
Abstract: Complex collaboration or decision support applications perform complex design or planning tasks, often with the input of large groups of people over long periods of time. The combination of time and complexity can often obscure past actions, making it difficult to remember the factors that influenced earlier stages in the planning task. This is especially true if the task involves many people and different people work at different times. The application state navigation system provides an application-independent mechanism that allows operators to walk back through the history of the application in order to better understand (or remember) the application actions that were taken in the past and the triggers for those actions.
