  • Publication number: 20070081383
Abstract: A BLT can include a different channel length, channel width, or both to compensate for bit line loading effects. The channel length and/or channel width of the transistor structure can be configured so as to achieve a desired loading. Thus, the bit line transistor structure can improve global metal bit line loading uniformity and provide greater uniformity in bit line bias. Additionally, the greater uniformity in bit line bias can improve reliability.

  • Publication number: 20070079146
Abstract: A virtual binding system ensures that the WORM logic for protecting data immutability cannot be circumvented, effectively guaranteeing WORM property of a WORM storage system composed of rewritable magnetic hard disks. To close the security hole between the rewritable media and the WORM logic, virtual binding securely authenticates the legitimacy of a WORM logic controller before granting data access on a WORM storage media. Furthermore, the system verifies the legitimacy of the WORM logic controller during data access. This approach virtually binds together the WORM logic controller and the WORM storage media even though the WORM logic controller and the WORM storage media may be physically separate.

  • Patent number: 7058763
Abstract: A special-purpose file system is provided which includes a combination of services and features which improve the performance of applications employing caches, such as caching web proxies. This file system also provides a file system cache which can be used as a general high-performance file system cache for file systems which need a cache. The services and features include collocating files together on a disk; keeping file meta-data in memory; compressing file names to hash values for reference; using a flat naming scheme for files; providing background daemons that pack files into clusters and clean disk and main memory space; and implementing a user-level library. The file system reduces access to related disk files, eliminates disk operations that are needed to maintain directory and meta-data information, and avoids multiple buffering of file data, and saves and efficiently manages disk and main memory space.

  • Publication number: 20050020010
Abstract: A method for forming a non-volatile memory cell includes depositing an oxide layer over a component stack including a dielectric layer over a first conductive layer. A portion of an upper section of the oxide layer is removed such that the dielectric layer is exposed. The dielectric layer and a remainder of the oxide layer upper section are removed such that upper surfaces of the oxide layer and the first conductive layer are substantially planar. A second conductive layer is formed over the upper surfaces of the first conductive layer and the oxide layer. A non-volatile memory array is formed including multiple spaced and parallel bit lines in a substrate surface. Multiple stacked layers, including an electron trapping layer, are on the substrate surface over the bit lines. Multiple spaced word lines are over the stacked layers. The word lines are parallel to one another and perpendicular to the bit lines.

  • Publication number: 20040034953
Abstract: The mop can be enclosed in a housing. Backing members hold mopping members and both are preferably located below the housing. A series of gears transmit force from a single motor to two drive shafts that connect to the upper portion of the coupling member. Multiple gears in series create a path where energy and mechanical movement travels to the drive shaft. The drive shaft moves mopping members. Circular mopping members contact with the floor to wipe it clean. Dual circular mopping members made of disposable material such as paper or light cloth counter rotate to preserve axial stability.
