  • Publication number: 20110186486
Abstract: A portable device for use in the efficient extraction of gold from other materials commonly found in placer deposits of gravel, sand and etc. This is accomplished by utilizing two sub-assemblies easily attached to existing gold recovery equipment such as the common gold sluice and etc. This is accomplished by utilizing four sub-assemblies. Two on opposite sides and also two on opposite ends of the sluice tray. Each sub-assembly consists of a side bracket 14 and leg socket 18, which are conjoined by means of leg socket retaining fasteners 32. These are in turn are attached to cross brace 20 by means of side bracket positioning screws 28. Two sub-assemblies are attached to each other on opposite sides of the sluice tray and conjoined by means of shoulder bolt 22, washer 24 and retaining nut 26. After secure attachment of the two opposite sub-assemblies the legs are inserted into leg socket 18 and held in place by locking screw 16. These same actions are then performed on the opposite end of the gold sluice.

  • Publication number: 20110071856
Abstract: According to some embodiments, for each of a plurality of insurance claims, an insurance claim file is established and associated with: (i) a litigation matter, (ii) a remote legal representative, and (iii) a remote claim adjuster. Hours associated with the remote legal representative may be tracked and allocated to insurance claim files as appropriate. Legal events associated with the litigation matter may also be tracked, wherein at least some of the legal events are associated with a stored document accessible to the legal representative and not accessible to the claim adjuster. A first legal event associated with a first insurance claim file may be evaluated based on a pre-determined rule, and, responsive to the evaluation, an alert may be transmitted to the remote claim adjuster associated with the first insurance claim file.

  • Patent number: 7756617
Abstract: A portable electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device can be used inside a motor vehicle to collect and store information regarding operation of the motor vehicle. The electronic device can include a processor and a digital memory. The processor can determine miles traveled by the motor vehicle during a trip and store data representing the miles in the digital memory with a trip identifier identifying the trip. The miles traveled can be determined using data from a location sensor, such as a global positioning satellite device, that determines locations of the motor vehicle during the trip. The electronic device can also include an audio mechanism into which a user can speak information about the trip. Such audio data can be stored in the digital memory and associated with the trip identifier. Other data representing information about the trip can also be stored in the digital memory.

  • Publication number: 20090246364
Abstract: A surfacing composition made of recycled paint, which requires no priming, has a non-reflective “flat” appearance, and is partially composed of dried paint. The composition provides a useful application for used or excess household paint, which would otherwise require special methods of disposal and potentially create future toxic cleanup problems. The composition is made of granular dried paint and a water-based sealer, which can be spread on a surface to repair imperfections. The surface can then be finished, and no priming is required. Due to the composition's flat appearance, the patch does not display any characteristic sheen where the repair has been made. The composition provides a simple means of recycling paint, and provides a simple and inexpensive means of repairing imperfections in walls and other surfaces while saving the step of priming the patch before painting or repainting.
