  • Publication number: 20120018255
Abstract: An automotive lift typically includes a plurality of posts, a lift platform and a cable system for raising the lift platform. Various components including sliders slidably mounted on the posts are external to the posts, which facilitates visual inspection and repair of these components and provides for stronger posts. The configuration of the lift also allows the lift to sit on a floor without fasteners such as anchor bolts extending into the floor.

  • Publication number: 20070148816
Abstract: Methods and arrangements to attach a QFN to a PCB, systems which include a QFN attached to a PCB, and apparatuses for controlling the deposit of solder upon a PCB are disclosed. Embodiments include transformations, code, state machines or other logic to calculate a total area for the QFN IO pads. Embodiments may then determine a total area for the regions of solder applied to the PCB thermal pad to which the QFN thermal pad may be connected in dependence upon the calculated total area for the QFN IO pads. In some embodiments, the total area of the solder regions applied to the PCB thermal pad is approximately equal to the calculated total area for the QFN IO pads. In many embodiments, the number of regions of solder and the shape of the regions of solder is determined.

  • Publication number: 20050239010
Abstract: A candle wick centering method and device for maintaining the vertically centered position of a wick that is disposed within the cavity of a candle container throughout the wax pouring and solidifying process includes a centering device having an annular flange that rests upon the rim of the candle container and a support member that extends across and bisects the centering device creating a pair of opposed apertures. Located at the midpoint of the support member is a wick-retaining member that includes a tapered notch into which the upper end of the wick can be inserted for holding the wick in place throughout the wax pouring and hardening process. The candle container can be capped with the centering device left in place to trap the aromatic scents therein, and the purchaser can easily dispose of the candlewick-centering device after removal of the candle lid for lighting the jar candle.

  • Patent number: 6896289
Abstract: A vertically adjustable landing gear system for a trailer includes a pair of vertically adjustable lifts, a hydraulic motor having a pair of rotational outputs and a pair of landing gear drive shafts, each rotationally engaging one of the respective lifts and one of the respective rotational outputs to vertically adjust the lifts. A relief valve relieves hydraulic pressure to allow manual operation of the lifts in case of hydraulic system failure. An alternate landing gear system includes a single landing gear drive shaft rotationally engaging the pair of lifts and a drive shaft engagement mechanism engaging the rotational outputs and the drive shaft to transfer rotational motion from the rotational output to the drive shaft.
