  • Publication number: 20140323783
Abstract: A method and system for converting hydrocarbons into C2+ unsaturates is described. The method includes providing a structural member upstream of a reaction zone having a surface of a catalytic material, wherein the catalytic material is rendered catalytically active to promote the reaction of coke and/or coke precursors with hydrogen (H2) and/or an oxidant. Then, the method involves exposing a hydrocarbon stream to the catalytic material, wherein the hydrocarbon stream comprising coke and/or coke precursors react in the presence of the catalytic material to convert at least a portion of the coke and/or coke precursors to vapor products. Finally, the hydrocarbons in the hydrocarbon stream containing vapor products and hydrocarbons are converted in the reaction zone to produce a reactor product having C2+ unsaturates.

The holding sleeve is adapted to dispose around a body portion of a main body and can rotate relative to the body portion. A blocking member is disposed in at least one through hole of a first sleeve. A second sleeve is movable relative to and disposed around the first sleeve. The blocking member is controllably pressed by the second sleeve to be partially received in an annular groove of the body portion. An elastic member is disposed around and between the first sleeve the first and second sleeves. Before the second sleeve is mounted to the first sleeve, a part of the elastic member corresponds to the blocking member in a radial direction of the first sleeve and can limit the blocking member to locate in the through hole.

  • Patent number: 8528000
Abstract: The execution environment provides for scalability where components will execute in parallel and exploit various patterns of parallelism. Dataflow applications are represented by reusable dataflow graphs called map components, while the executable version is called a prepared map. Using runtime properties the prepared map is executed in parallel with a thread allocated to each map process. The execution environment not only monitors threads, detects and corrects deadlocks, logs and controls program exceptions, but also data input and output ports of the map components are processed in parallel to take advantage of data partitioning schemes. Port implementation supports multi-state null value tokens to more accurately report exceptions. Data tokens are batched to minimize synchronization and transportation overhead and thread contention.

  • Patent number: 8429631
Abstract: A system and method for managing data, such as in a data warehousing, analysis, or similar applications, where dataflow graphs are expressed as reusable map components, at least some of which are selected from a library of components, and map components are assembled to create an integrated dataflow application. Composite map components encapsulate a dataflow pattern using other maps as subcomponents. Ports are used as link points to assemble map components and are hierarchical and composite allowing ports to contain other ports. The dataflow application may be executed in a parallel processing environment by recognizing the linked data processes within the map components and assigning threads to the linked data processes.

  • Patent number: 8397504
Abstract: A method and system for waste heat recovery for conversion to mechanical energy. Exhaust is received from an engine into a first heat exchanger where heat from the exhaust is transferred to a refrigerant. The exhaust is then transferred to a regenerator module in order to produce electricity which is provided to a power box. The hot refrigerant from the first heat exchanger is transferred to a kinetic energy recovery system to produce electricity which is also transferred to said power box. The power box provides electricity to a traction motor and the traction motor turns an axle. The refrigerant is then transferred to a refrigerant cooling unit and then to a second heat exchanger wherein ambient air from the regenerator module is cooled. The refrigerant and cooled ambient air can be then transferred to an engine cooling jacket to cool the engine.

  • Patent number: 8068997
Abstract: A system and method of conducting a continuous performance analysis for a system includes collecting transient performance data for a first parameter of the system and a second parameter of the system. Transfer functions are applied to the transient performance data for at least one of the first and second parameters to thereby generate phase compensated performance data representative of a steady state relationship between the first and second parameter. For each phase compensated performance datum, an estimate of the first parameter is calculated at a predetermined value of the second parameter using the phase compensated performance datum and a previously stored performance characteristic curve representative of the steady state relationship between the first and second parameters in a deterioration model extrapolation method.
