Abstract: A multi-purpose form with a plurality of label types on a single business form includes an adhesive-backed label, a label with a front-facing exposed adhesive, and labels which can form laminated water-resistant tags. The business form has a plurality of layers. The form includes die cuts which allow for layers to be peeled away from the form, exposing adhesive layers and forming the different label types.

In one example, a filter box for a sweeping machine is provided with an impeller fan housing beneath a cylindrical filter. Operation of the impeller fan draws air from a debris hopper, through the cylindrical filter, and through an expansion chamber defined by a scroll conduit prior to outlet to atmosphere.

Abstract: A data security device for providing a network transport connection via a transparent network proxy that employs different encryption security mediums along a communications session between two endpoints by emulating one of the endpoints at an intermediate node such that the communication session appears as an atomic, secure connection to the endpoints yet provides appropriate security over the end-to-end connection. A sender node sends a connection request to establish a secure communication session with an intended receiver node. A transparent proxy on an intermediate node receives the request and establishes the link employing an encryption mechanism. The transparent proxy establishes a second link with the intended receiver, and applies a second, less expensive encryption mechanism. The transparent proxy combines the two links to form the trusted, secure connection but incurring only the mitigated expense over the second link.

Abstract: The invention relates to predicting or determining risk of a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) from a donor to induce Graft vs. Host Disease (GVHD) in a HCT recipient; to classifying HCT from a candidate donor according to the risk of inducing GVHD in a HCT recipient; and to organizational constructs (e.g., databases) and methods of producing organizational constructs (e.g., databases) in which HCT of one or more candidate donors is classified or scored according to risk of inducing GVHD in a HCT recipient. The invention also relates to kits and arrays useful for predicting or determining risk of HCT from a candidate donor to induce GVHD in a HCT recipient, and for classifying or scoring such donors according to risk of inducing GVHD in a HCT recipient.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bridge for a stringed instrument with improved structure design which allows the bridge to be made of light-weight acoustically resonant material. The bridge comprises a plurality of adjustable saddles that are always in contact with the adjacent saddles, the internal bottom wall, and/or the end walls of the first chamber of the bridge. The constant contacts enable these plurality of parts to be unified by pressure allowing for excellent transmission of the string vibrations. The compressive load provided by these constant contacts enables the instant bridge to withstand even the heaviest load of strings. In addition, the bridge comprises thin walls facilitating resonance. The bridge may also comprise internal piezoelectric elements. The bridge is able to produce authentic acoustic sounds for an electric guitar without the need for pre-amplification or signal conditioning.

The rim plate defines a plurality of fluid-engaging blades. The interlock structure includes a plurality of tine-shaped interlocks extending from the backplate. The interlock structure also includes a plurality of channel sections engaging the blades. Each blade of the impeller may engage the interlock structure in a saddle manner. The backplate is defined by areas of reduced thickness allowing outer portions of the backplate to flex (rotate) toward further contact with the rim plate.

Abstract: The present invention efficiently directs the flow of print jobs and efficiently controls the spooling and printing of print jobs. The multiplexer system analyzes jobs received from client systems through print channels. The multiplexer determines the attributes of the incoming job and the attributes associated with the print channel. If the attributes of the print job and the attributes of the print channel dictate an output path (either MUST PRINT or MUST SPOOL), then the multiplexer examines the state of the selected path. If the designated output path (printer or spooler) is busy, then the multiplexer decision is to signal a Stop_Flow to the print channel. The print channel is signaled to Start_Flow at a later time, when the output path becomes available. If the attributes of the print job and the attributes of the print channel do not dictate an output pith, then the multiplexer examines a User Output Selection setting to control spooling and printing of print jobs.

Each component has access to common variables and can present job attributes or status to its respective external interface according to the unique requirements dictated by the external interface. Additionally, internal job processing components interface with the Job Monitor to access and report current processing status. The common status repository provided by the Job Monitor is used by the Job Monitor and other components to control the sequence of processing within the printer.

Abstract: A display system for an electronic device includes a first sub-display and a second sub-display in signal communication with the first sub-display. The sub-displays together may display related information within a given category, such as time, weather, messages, etc. The display system also may include a navigation mechanism that permits the user to navigate through and select data items from at least one of the first or second sub-displays. In response to a data selection, at least one of the sub-displays alters its view such that the sub-displays together may display a new dataset of related information within the given category. The navigation mechanism also may be used to toggle through various additional categories of information. In an exemplary embodiment, the display system may be the external display of a clamshell mobile telephone in the closed position.

Abstract: A system and method for concurrently spooling and despooling print jobs, which allows print data associated with a print job to be despooled from storage at the same time that additional print data associated with the print job is spooled onto storage. Print jobs are received and storing of the print job is initiated. The portion of the print data that has been stored is concurrently read from the storage device, and sent to the print engine, thereby allowing the print job to be printed as the print job is being stored onto the storage device.

Abstract: An impeller assembly including a pair of plates with one of the plates having a plurality of blades and an interlock structure for aligning and coupling the plates together. A disclosed example of the interlock structure includes a plurality of latch members extending from one plate and locking into apertures of the other plate. The interlock structure may also include a plurality of channels engaging the blades. The blades of the impeller may engage a pair of latch members in a saddle manner. A method of using the impeller assembly within an air blower is also disclosed.

Abstract: A packetised data network includes IP telephones (ITs) and a network intelligence (NI). All of the keys of each IT are “soft” keys (i.e., they have no fixed function). The NI associates a configuration data structure with the IT which correlates the keys with functions, and, based on this, may control the display of the IT to indicate the current function of certain of the soft keys. Some of the functions are requests for data services at the telephone (e.g., video or programmed audio over the internet). When a user requests such a service with a key press, the NI sets up the service between the data source and the telephone. This may require associating a new configuration data structure with the keys of the IT. The IT user may activate multiple data services through the NI.
