Abstract: The garden system described herein is a versatile and scalable solution for growing plants in a controlled environment. The system includes of sets of containers adaptable to various growing methods, such as soil-based, deep water culture, NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), ebb and flow, drip, and vertical growing tubes. The system is expandable by connecting hoses, operates above ground in a closed environment, and is both ecologically and environmentally responsible. It features a water recirculating system and utilizes advanced technology to optimize overall functionality. The system can be configured with multiple lower bins as water reservoirs, and it dispenses water through an internal water manifold with protruding barbed irrigation fittings. Additionally, the system includes provisions for attaching a trellis or grow rack to the upper bins.

Abstract: A vehicle monitor is provided to monitor the area adjacent to a parked vehicle on which the monitor is engaged. Cameras and microphones can be mounted on the housing to capture video from persons and vehicles which may move to positions adjacent the vehicle on which the monitor is operating. Captured video is employable to identify any person or vehicle which might contact and damage the vehicle being monitored, and warning lights and indicia may be activated to warn persons proximate to the monitored vehicle they are being recorded.

Abstract: The present invention is an accumulated light meter that generates data concerning the quantity of photosynthetically active radiation available over a measured period of time. The device can calculate a daily light integral (DLI) that corresponds to the amount of light required by certain plants in order to optimize photosynthesis. The device also possesses the ability to filter out the effect that wavelengths of unproductive light have on the calculated values since not all light is conducive to photosynthesis and different species of plants can utilize different wavelengths of light in dissimilar ways.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to accident prevention, and more specifically, to a method of, and system for training individuals which reduces the frequency and/or severity of accident occurrences. The invention provides a method of reducing the frequency of industrial accidents comprising the steps of: determining the mental state of an individual at the time of an accident or close call; classifying the cause of the accident as being due to the individual being in one of four hazardous mental states; identifying the state-to-error risk pattern; and teaching the individual to effect critical error reduction techniques, to avoid future occurrences of accidents. The invention also provides a checklist outlining this methodology, for use in accident investigation.
