  • Publication number: 20170106135
Abstract: The present invention relates to a needle arrangement for an injection device. The needle arrangement is made up from needle cannula which is mounted such that a distal part having a distal tip extends in a distal direction. Further, a telescopically movable shield carrying a cleaning chamber surrounds at least the tip of the needle cannula between injections such that the tip of the needle cannula is maintained inside the cleaning chamber between subsequent injections. The cleaning chamber is at least distally provided with a pierceable septum through which the needle cannula penetrates during injections. For guiding the needle cannula during injections a telescopically movable tube is provided. During injections the distal end of the telescopically movable tube at least partly penetrates the distal septum.

  • Publication number: 20160271319
Abstract: The present invention relates to an injection device for injecting a pharmaceutical liquid drug containing a preservative. The injection device comprises a housing (1) supporting a cartridge (20) having an interior chamber (21) holding the pharmaceutical preservative containing liquid drug to be injected, and a needle cannula (10) having a front part (11) and a back part (12), which back part (12) is adapted to be in liquid communication with the interior chamber (21) of the cartridge (20). The injection device is further provided with a telescopic needle covering shield (30) which distally is provided with a reservoir (31) which holds a liquid containing the same preservatives as in the pharmaceutical preservative containing liquid drug contained in the interior chamber of the cartridge. The telescopic needle covering shield (30) is telescopic movable in relation to the needle cannula (10) by a first resilient member between a first position and a second position.

  • Publication number: 20160001014
Abstract: The present invention relates to a needle assembly having a build-in valve (30). The needle assembly is build up from a hub (20) carrying a needle cannula (10) and a telescopically movable shield (40) which axially covers the distal tip (13) of 40 the needle cannula (10) be-tween injections. The valve (30) is operated by the shield (40) and is arranged such that it is closed when the distal tip (13) of the needle cannula (10) is covered by the shield (40) and is opened when the telescopically movable shield (40) has been retracted a specific distance (X) proximally to the distal tip (13) of the distal cannula part (11).

  • Publication number: 20150273161
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pre-filled disposable injection device and a needle cannula in combination. The prefilled disposable injection device (1) is made from a housing (2) containing a non-exchangeable cartridge (10) for storing a liquid drug sufficient for a number of injections. The proximal end of the pre-filled injection device (1) carries the dose setting button (3) and the distal end carries the needle cannula (20) having a lumen (21) through which the settable dose is expelled. The distal end (23) of the needle cannula (20) is covered by a telescopic needle covering shield (30) which shield (30) can operate between a first position covering the tip (24) of the needle cannula (20) and a second retracted position allowing an injection to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20140360623
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medical device comprising a base member (2), a container (20) comprising a container interior (28) adapted to accommodate a substance, and a container closure (23) for fluidly sealing the container interior, and fluid connection means (50) for establishing fluid connection to the container interior. A cover (4) removably mountable on a cover receiving portion (36) is operatively coupled with the fluid connection means (50) to cause a relative motion between the fluid connection means (50) and the container closure (23) in response to a relative motion between the cover (4) and the base member (2).
