  • Patent number: 11952631
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for the identification of genetic variants that are associated with the severity of an infectious disease. The invention further pertains to a set of genetic factors associated with the severity of Human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) infection, for example in human infants. The genetic polymorphisms identified according to the present invention are for use in the diagnostic of infectious diseases and patient stratification in order to avoid or reduce the occurrence of fatal events during infection or to elect the most appropriate therapeutic approach to treat the disease.

  • Patent number: 11922533
Abstract: A weighted average execution time associated with each execution stage of a plurality of execution stages used to process a plurality of frames in parallel is obtained. The processing of each of the plurality of frames is performed at each of the plurality of execution stages in a sequential order, starting with an initial execution stage and continuing with each subsequent execution stage. A first largest weighted average execution time associated with one of the plurality of execution stages is determined. A delay to the initial execution stage prior to processing a first next frame is applied. The delay is determined based on the first largest weighted average execution time.

  • Publication number: 20240037284
Abstract: Method for registering and updating an electronically stored and versioned alpha digital document (A) in a digital document register by storing, for each version, not the document but a public ownership key; a digital document hash value; and a digital document signature. The invention is characterised by the steps a) providing a first document version, defined in a document description language to have a defined rendered graphic representation; b) registering said first version; c) providing a second document version by adding a reversibly added part to said first document version, said second version comprising a second set of metadata; and d) registering said second version, in that said second metadata is embedded in the second version without affecting said graphic representation, in that at least a part of the reversibly added part can be unambiguously generated based on the second metadata, and in that the registering in step d comprises storing a hash of the second metadata.

  • Patent number: 10317077
Abstract: A device has a canister for attaching to a fuel container with a wick holder passing through the canister for holding a wick in a position to draw fuel from the reservoir for combustion proximate the top cap. A snuffer in the canister has a sleeve extendible from a first retracted position to a second extended position, the second extended position extending the sleeve partially beyond the wick holder. When the canister is upright the snuffer remains in the first lowered position and when the canister is tilted beyond a predetermined angle the spring moves the sleeve to the second extended position.

  • Patent number: 9951953
Abstract: A device includes a flame bowl with a snuffer sleeve situated therein. The snuffer sleeve has a lowered position allowing a wick to burn freely and a raised position wherein the sleeve impedes oxygen flow to the wick, the snuffer sleeve being biased toward the raised position. A shelf extends from the snuffer sleeve to receive a movable weight that rests on the shelf when the flame bowl is upright and the snuffer sleeve is moved to the lowered position. The movable weight retains the snuffer sleeve in the lowered position while the flame bowl remains upright but moves to allow the snuffer sleeve to extend to the raised position when the flame bowl departs from the upright position more than a predetermined amount.
