  • Publication number: 20060154366
Abstract: Cells derived from postpartum tissue and methods for their isolation and induction to differentiate to cells of a chondrogenic or osteogenic phenotype are provided by the invention. The invention further provides cultures and compositions of the postpartum-derived cells and products such as lysates related thereto. The postpartum-derived cells of the invention and products related thereto have a plethora of uses, including but not limited to research, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications, for example, in the treatment of bone and cartilage conditions such as osteoarthritis.

  • Publication number: 20050221612
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a low thermal budget MOL liner to be used in the fabrication of a semiconductor device. The low thermal budget MOL liner of the present invention, which is formed by treating a titanium-deposited layer with an in-situ plasma nitridization step, results in a significantly improved high performance device as the need for the higher thermal annealing process presently used in the making of such devices can be avoided. The present invention is further directed to a method of making the resulting semiconductor device, as well as the semi-conductor device itself.
