  • Publication number: 20200215414
Abstract: A mission-based cyber training platform allows both offensive and defensive oriented participants to test their skills in a game-based virtual environment against a live or virtual opponent. The system builds realistic virtual environments to perform the training in an isolated and controlled setting. Dynamic configuration supports unique missions using a combination of real and/or virtual machines, software resources, tools, and network components. Game engine behaves in a manner that will vary if participant attempts to replay a scenario based upon alternate options available to the engine. Scoring and leader boards are used to identify skill gaps/strengths and measure performance for each training participant. A detailed assessment of a player's performance is provided at the end of the mission and is stored in a user profile/training record.

  • Publication number: 20200199440
Abstract: A corrosion inhibitor active and method for reducing corrosion of a metal surface in contact with a corrosive environment is disclosed. The corrosion inhibitor active is an organic sulfonated compound that is derived from the sulfonation of one or more carboxylic acids, internal olefins, or alpha-olefins having a carbon chain length of 15 to 26 carbon atoms. The method of reducing corrosion includes contacting the metal surface with an effective amount of the corrosion inhibitor active. The corrosion inhibitor active is useful in high temperature corrosive environments, such as those found in oil and gas operations.

  • Patent number: 10672289
Abstract: Methods and systems allow a user or operator to easily create cyber-training environments for use in a cyber-training system. In one embodiment, the environments are configured as missions. The missions may have a plurality of features, such as training objectives, a mission storyline, a mission order and mission objectives, relative to a mission environment. The mission environment comprises a virtual environment, such as defined by a virtual network having virtual machines or devices.

  • Patent number: 10519385
Abstract: Spent zeolite equilibrium catalyst from the fluidized catalytic cracker has a useful function as an adsorbent for jet fuel. Redirecting such spent catalyst saves costs for refinery operations in two ways. The first is by avoiding the costs for disposing of such catalyst as hazardous waste. The second is to reduce the cost of procuring sorbent for the jet fuel decontamination process. Since zeolite is primarily silica and conventional sorbents are also silica, zeolite catalysts are chemically similar. And the equilibrium catalyst may be regenerated in the FCC after its becomes saturated with jet fuel contaminants and re-used.

  • Patent number: 10322994
Abstract: Fatty amide compositions and their derivatives are disclosed. The fatty amides comprise a reaction product of a metathesis-derived C10-C17 monounsaturated acid, octadecene-1,18-dioic acid, or their ester derivatives with a primary or secondary amine. Derivatives made by reducing, quaternizing, sulfonating, alkoxylating, sulfating, and sulfitating the fatty amide are also included. The amine reactant can be diethylenetriamine or (2-aminoethyl)ethanolamine, which provide imidazoline amides or esters, respectively. In one aspect, the ester derivative of the C10-C17 monounsaturated acid or octadecene-1,18-dioic acid is a lower alkyl ester. In other aspects, the ester derivative is a modified triglyceride made by self-metathesis of a natural oil or an unsaturated triglyceride made by cross-metathesis of a natural oil with an olefin. The compositions are valuable for cleaners, fabric treatment, hair conditioning, personal care, antimicrobial compositions, agricultural uses, and oil field applications.

  • Publication number: 20190099208
Abstract: Embodiments relate to devices, systems, kits and methods for achieving maxillo-mandibular fixation (MMF). In an embodiment, a system comprises a plurality of dental occlusion ties and/or tension band ties (referred to herein as “DO ties” and “TB ties,” respectively). In another embodiment, a system or kit can comprise a plurality of one or both of DO ties and/or TB ties as well as a trimming tool, comfort caps or material, a lip/cheek retractor, and/or an instruction sheet. DO ties and TB ties can simplify the management of mandible fractures and maxilla fractures by helping re-establish precise dental occlusion for MMF.
