  • Publication number: 20060206285
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic sensor to determine the position of a cellular phone (2) in linear movement along an axis of translation, the sensor comprising a measuring cell fitted to a magnetic circuit and capable of measuring the variations in the value of the magnetic induction flux consecutive with the reluctance variations of the magnetic circuit. According to the invention, the sensor comprises a single delimiting fixed magnetic circuit between two fixed pole parts: a variable air gap (4) within which at least a magnetic induction is created that extends along a length parallel to the axis of translation and at least equal to the travel to be measured of the cellular phone, the variable air gap (4) being capable of allowing the linear movement of the cellular phone (2) which is equipped with means for modifying the reluctance of said variable air gap, mechanically independent of said sensor; and a measurable air gap (7) to which the measuring cell is fitted.

  • Publication number: 20060164074
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic sensor for determining the location of a moving object (2) along an axis of displacement (T), the sensor including: an open magnetic circuit (3) that delimits at least one gap (8) and includes means (4) for creating a magnetic flux, at least one first measuring cell (11) fixedly mounted in the magnetic circuit (3) and capable of measuring the value of the magnetic flux, means for processing the output signal delivered by the measuring cell (11) in order to determine the linear location of the moving object along the displacement axis. According to the invention: the magnetic circuit (3) also includes at least one pole piece (5) associated with means for creating a magnetic flux, the measurement cell (11) is mounted near an extreme point of displacement so as to measure the magnetic flux delivered by the creating means (4) minus the magnetic leakage flux.

  • Patent number: 7026809
Abstract: The invention relates to a position and/or speed sensor including a mobile target (2) with at least one tooth, a first permanent magnet (5), at least one second permanent magnet (11), and a probe (4) sensitive to the direction and intensity of a magnetic induction, and placed along an axis OZ such that when there is no adjacent tooth, the magnetic induction created by the first magnet passes through the probe along a direction opposite to the direction of magnetization. Magnetic inductions created by the permanent magnets (5, 11) have approximately equal values but in opposite directions, and in the presence of an adjacent tooth, the absolute value of the variation of the magnetic induction detected by the probe (4) is greater than a trip threshold.

  • Publication number: 20060049824
Abstract: The sensor according to the invention is characterized in that: the bulkiness of the coding tracks is less than the measuring stroke of the measuring stroke of the mobile, the detection elements (6a, 6b) are sensitive to the value of the physical quantity of the coding elements, so that each detection element occupies a first binary state when the value of the physical quantity is larger than a threshold, a second binary state when the value of the physical quantity is less than said threshold, one of the two determined binary states when said detection elements are not found located opposite a coding track, and at least one coding track (10a, 10b) includes, as a coding element, at least one first type coding element (11v) on the one hand, and at least one second type coding element (11a, 11b) on the other hand.

  • Publication number: 20050262411
Abstract: A method for carrying out a connection migration in a multicomputing architecture (cluster), from a first node which is called a primary node or operation node, including a first computer of the cluster on which an initial software application is run, towards at lest one secondary node including another computer of the cluster. The method implements a virtual network address which is carried by the first computer and transferred to the other computer, the virtual network address being embodied in the form of a dialogue link between the cluster and client computers connected thereto and associated with the software application. The associated connections can, for example be associated with a software application which is replicated in another computer in such a way that the initial application service is switched to the replica thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050251785
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for replicating a software application in a multi-computer architecture (cluster). The software application is executed on a first computer of the the cluster, which represents a primary or operation node, and is replicated on at least one other computer of the cluster, which represents a secondary node, including replication of the resources associated with the software application. The method includes streamlined updating of the replicated resources via a dynamic introspection mechanism supplying the structure of the application that is to be replicated and the dynamic graph of the implemented resources and dependencies.
