  • Patent number: 10764172
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves data content to a wireless user device. An access wireless relay wirelessly receives a user request for the data content from the wireless user device. The access wireless relay wirelessly transfers the data content to the wireless user device when it stores the data content. When the access wireless relay does not store the data content, it transfers content requests having a Time-To-Live (TTL). Serving wireless relays receive the content requests during the TTL. The serving wireless relays transfer the data content to the access wireless relay if they store the data content. The serving wireless relays forward the content requests with the TTL when they do not store the data content. Terminating wireless relays receive the content requests after the TTL. The terminating wireless relays stop forwarding the content requests.

  • Publication number: 20180226174
Abstract: A system, cable, and method for wireline operations are disclosed, in which a wireline cable may include one or more electrical wire having a compact stranded conductor, a first dielectric layer formed about the first electrical wire, and a strength member. The compact strands provide for increasing conductor size, increasing dielectric layer thickness, increasing armor size, and/or decreasing cable outer diameter. These parameters may be varied and optimized to provide specific wireline cable designs for particular wireline purposes. As compared to a conventional wireline cable employing uncompacted stranded conductors, the electrical resistance of the wireline cable may be lowered, the capacitance may be lowered, the operating temperature may be lowered, the outer diameter and weight may be lowered, and/or the tensile strength may be increased.

  • Patent number: 9476989
Abstract: A navigation system comprises a GNSS receiver that receives GNSS signals on multiple tracking channels, an INS that generates inertial data, and a processor. A micro jump detection and correction module comprises an oscillator micro jump detector that monitors estimates of C/N0 in all tracking channels, and detects a micro-jump event when there is an abrupt decrease of C/N0 in all tracking channels. An offsets module defines a plurality of carrier NCO command offsets to search over signal Dopplers in all available tracking channels after the micro jump event is detected, and sends the carrier NCO command offsets to the GNSS receiver to be added to nominal carrier NCO commands. The micro jump detector selects a tracking channel with the highest C/N0 after carrier NCO command offsets are added to nominal carrier NCO commands, computes corrections for clock error estimates, and sends the corrections for the clock error estimates to a GNSS/inertial Kalman filter.
