  • Publication number: 20190035132
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can identify a virtual character being presented to a user within a real-time immersive environment. A first animation to be applied to the virtual character is determined. A nonverbal communication animation to be applied to the virtual character simultaneously with the first animation is determined. The virtual character is animated in real-time based on the first animation and the nonverbal communication animation.

  • Publication number: 20190035131
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can receive virtual model information associated with a virtual deformable geometric model. The virtual model information comprises a complex rig comprising a plurality of transforms and a first plurality of vertices defined by a default model, and a simplified rig comprising a second plurality of transforms and a second plurality of vertices corresponding to the first plurality of vertices. The simplified rig and the complex rig are deformed based on an animation to be applied to the virtual deformable geometric model. A set of offset data is calculated. The set of offset data comprises, for each vertex in the first plurality of vertices, an offset between the vertex and a corresponding vertex in the second plurality of vertices. A compressed version of the set of offset data is exported to a real-time processing engine for real-time animation of the virtual deformable geometric model.

  • Patent number: 9940596
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses provide a system for establishing base stations and allocating service vehicles to the base stations in order to provide roadside assistance. The system may include computing devices associated with customer vehicles and service vehicles as well as network computing devices. The system may receive a service request from a customer regarding a disabled vehicle. The system may then identify an appropriate service vehicle to assist the customer and assign the service request to the identified service vehicle. The system may select the appropriate service vehicle based on a location of the disabled vehicle. In an example, the system may choose a service vehicle from a base station closest to or within the shortest driving time to the disabled vehicle. By setting-up base stations in advance of service requests, service vehicles may reach disabled vehicles within a predetermined period of time.

  • Publication number: 20160273877
Abstract: Preventative gun safety devices and methods for their use are provided. These devices are useful for providing visual recognition and warning of a loaded gun, thereby reducing the potential for an accidental discharge of a loaded gun. Generally, the present invention is a device that is non-permanently attached to any gun and is comprised of a rectangular strip, thermoplastic strap-like member and generally using a hook and loop type tape to adhere to itself by wrapping circularly around itself to attach to the barrel or any part of any gun. A rectangular nylon pull tab is sewn permanently to one end of the strip with cautionary wording and symbols sewn or stamped onto it to identify the purpose of the device and to convey proper warning.

  • Patent number: 9147611
Abstract: Techniques and design methodologies for using a single mask set to create devices of different sizes are disclosed. A mask with a plurality of tiles is disclosed. Each of the tiles has a number of fixed resource blocks, multiple logic blocks and is surrounded by a scribe region. The tiles may be connected to one or more adjacent tiles through interconnect lines that enable the fixed resource blocks and logic blocks in one tile to communicate with the fixed resource and logic blocks in an adjacent tile. The mask set may be used to produce devices of different sizes. Using a mask set that can handle a variety of design sizes with varying resources may in turn reduce mask cost.
