Abstract: According to this method for controlling the coupling and the decoupling of the first and second motors of a parallel hybrid motive power group comprising a first motor driving an input shaft, a second motor, and a coupling/decoupling means motors, maneuverable between an open position and a closed position, the motive power group is controlled so that the rotational speed of the input shaft at the moment of coupling and of decoupling remains unchanged while using a law of control that creates a discontinuity between the torques output to the input shaft when the first and the second motors are decoupled or coupled, selected for compensating for the difference between the inertias produced by the input shaft when the first and the second motors are decoupled or coupled in order to ensure a continuity of the acceleration of the input shaft when coupling or decoupling.

Abstract: A MEMS resonator, comprising a planar resonator body formed of two different materials with opposite sign temperature coefficient of Young's modulus. A first portion of one material extends across the full thickness of the resonator body. This provides a design which allows reduced temperature drift.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system, method, means, and/or computer program code are provided to facilitate use of a spreadsheet application to access information stored in a multi-dimensional data source. Some embodiments include receiving, at an analyzer module, a change indication from the spreadsheet application, the change indication being associated with an identifier entered by a user into a spreadsheet cell. In response to the change indication, a member associated with the identifier in a multi-dimensional data source may be dynamically determined. Information in the spreadsheet may then be replaced with a formula based at least in part on the determined member.

Abstract: The present invention provides compounds useful for inhibiting the ADAM-10 protein, with selectivity versus MMP-1. Such compounds are useful in the in vitro study of the role of ADAM-10 (and its inhibition) in biological processes. The present invention also comprises pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or more ADAM-10 inhibitors according to the invention in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Such compositions are useful for the treatment of cancer, arthritis, and diseases related to angiogenesis. Correspondingly, the invention also comprises methods of treating forms of cancer, arthritis, and diseases related to angiogenesis in which ADAM-10 plays a critical role.

In one embodiment, a method for installing a first interface driver and a second interface driver is disclosed. Some models may provide a nuanced evaluation of creditworthiness, while other models generate cross-sell opportunities. The models may implement a strategy. The model may be run on a logic engine or engines. The evaluation may utilize multiple stages, whereby each stage is reached only if the earlier stages are passed. Evaluation may utilize a multi-level strategy. In the event that a loan cannot be reasonably provided, the potential borrower may be given suitable reasons and/or be presented with alternative credit products.

Abstract: A collapsible flotation device is provided that uses a coilable spring coupled to a panel to collapse the device when the spring is coiled, and to expand the device when the spring is uncoiled configuration. The spring can be contained within a sleeve along the outer portion of the panel. A support member that traverses the panel is provided. An inflatable bladder disposed about a part of the outer portion of the panel and coupled to the support member buoyantly supports a body weight of a user. The combination of the inflatable bladder and the support member provide support for a user in a seated position on the panel. Many configurations are disclosed, including a multi-user collapsible flotation device, multiple connected single-user flotation devices, and so forth. A back support member and a headrest, both of which can be inflatable, provide additional support for a user to maintain a seated position on the panel. A foot support member is provided for the comfort of the user.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for performing statistical static timing analysis using a novel on-chip variation model, referred to as Sensitivity-based Complex Statistical On-Chip Variation (SCS-OCV). SCS-OCV introduces complex variation concept to resolve the blocking technical issue of combining local random variations, enabling accurate calculation of statistical variations with correlations, such as common-path pessimism removal (CPPR). SCS-OCV proposes practical statistical min/max operations for random variations that can guarantee pessimism at nominal and targeted N-sigma corner, and extends the method to handle complex variations, enabling graph-based full arrival/required time propagation under variable compaction. SCS-OCV provides a statistical corner evaluation method for complex random variables that can transform vector-based parametric timing information to the single-value corner-based timing report, and based on the method derives equations to bridge POCV/SSTA with LOCV.

When the material enters into the cavity of the hammer mill, the material form a rotating material ring after being hit by the hammers, and the material is milled once again after the material ring hits the stationary hammer blade.

Abstract: A method for preventing or treating an active Norwalk-Like Virus (NLV) infection in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract of a host, comprising the step of administering orally a fucosyl ?1?2 carbohydrate compound to the host, the compound having a binding specificity of the antigenic determinant of a human histo-blood group antigen and competitively binds with a NLV at the determinant binding site of the NLV. The compound inhibits binding of the NLV in vivo to a histo-blood group antigen of the host, thereby inhibiting the active infection or preventing infection of the GI tract of the host by the NLV.

Abstract: A manually operated or automated bonding tool for the attachment of a formed adhesive element to a bonding part is disclosed. Abstract: A processor includes an instruction fetch unit, an issue queue coupled to the instruction fetch unit, an execution unit coupled to the issue queue, and a multi-level register file including a first level register file having lower access latency and a second level register file having higher access latency. Each of the first and second level register files includes a plurality of physical registers for holding operands that is concurrently shared by a plurality of threads. The processor further includes a mapper that, at dispatch of an instruction specifying a source logical register from the instruction fetch unit to the issue queue, initiates a swap of a first operand associated with the source logical register that is in the second level register file with a second operand held in the first level register file. The issue queue, following the swap, issues the instruction to the execution unit for execution.

A first switch structure is connected to a first PSU of the plurality of PSUs, and operable between a first position connecting a first input line of the dual line and a second position connecting a second input line of the dual line with the one PSU. A second switch structure is connected to at least one additional PSU of the plurality of PSUs, and operable between a third position connecting the first input line and a fourth position connecting the second input line with the at least one additional PSU. The first and second switch structures are operable between each of the first, second, third, and fourth positions to alternatively connect each of the plurality of PSUs to one of the first and second input lines and connect, when each of the dual lines is charged, both of the first and second input lines to at least one of the plurality of PSUs.

Abstract: Techniques for accounting microprocessor resource consumption. The present invention provides an automatic method to timely determine the current microprocessor clock frequency. Information provided by timer facilities of the microprocessor is reused by sampling this information at constant intervals. Such direct derivation of the microprocessor clock frequency is a real-time method that also takes into consideration secondary effects. Examples for such secondary effects include clock frequency variations across chips due to manufacturing variations, any degradation due to performance loss by thermal, or other detrimental effects as well as any voltage changes. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the real-time microprocessor clock frequency determination is implemented as part of the microprocessor itself. No additional service processors or other external hardware facilities are needed in order to control the microprocessor clock frequency determination function.
