  • Publication number: 20240140240
Abstract: One or more embodiments described herein can facilitate electric charge transfer to/from one or more battery cells and/or multi-cell battery packs of an electric vehicle from a second electric vehicle, based at least in part on state of charge and/or state of health monitoring at one or more of the cell-level or pack-level. An exemplary method can comprise identifying, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, based on a comparison of a metric to a historical metric for vehicle performance, a current event that is defined by the metric as leading to degradation of a plurality of battery cells of a vehicle system, upon identifying the current event, determining, by the system, a subset of the plurality of battery cells that is beyond a threshold for remediation, and continuing to use, by the system, the subset such that the subset degrades towards end of life of the subset.

  • Publication number: 20240146465
Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a first indication to disable hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a number of instances of a multicast transport block (TB). The method also includes receiving, from the base station, a second indication identifying a value of the number of instances of the multicast TB. The method further includes receiving, from the base station, one or more instances of the multicast TB. The method still further includes determining, based on the one or more received instances, whether the multicast TB is recoverable. The method further includes selectively transmitting, to the base station, HARQ feedback after all instances of the multicast TB have been transmitted by the base station based on the determination of whether the multicast TB is recoverable.

  • Publication number: 20240144747
Abstract: Various embodiments and approaches are described to minimize degradation of respective modules combined to form a battery pack onboard an electric vehicle (EV). Systems and components are presented to determine a respective operational state of the modules, and based thereon, a first subset of modules can be selected to provision power to various EV components while a second subset of modules can be deselected. Module selection can be based upon a threshold operating condition. A visual representation of the modules and their respective operational state can be presented, in conjunction with one or more alarms and recommended corrective operations. Artificial intelligence methods can be utilized to determine an operational state of a module(s). A module can be scheduled for replacement. Limiting degradation to a first module can minimize degradation of a second module. The various components can be stored in a memory and executed by a processor.

  • Publication number: 20240142247
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a dynamic routing system, comprising a memory that stores computer executable components, and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory, wherein the computer executable components comprise a first receiving component that receives information of a trip comprising a destination and departure information, and an optimal routing component that determines an optimal routing based on current conditions, user preferences for charging stations, primary user's driving habits, battery's state of health, financial impact, and availability of charging stations at the time of receiving the trip information. At the time of trip set up, the system can make reservations for charging at the charging station requiring a reservation. During the trip, if the system requires a change to the reservation, the system establishes communication with the charging station and adjusts the reservation.

  • Patent number: 11973702
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) (e.g., an enhanced machine type communication (EMTC) UE) may identify several narrowbands associated with eMTC protocol based on a system bandwidth of a New Radio (NR) carrier. A base station may transmit an indication of a set of valid narrowbands for eMTC (e.g., based on coexistence considerations between eMTC and NR) to the UE. The base station may further transmit a frequency hopping pattern to the UE (e.g., associated with narrowbands within the set of valid narrowbands), and transmit one or more downlink transmissions according to the frequency hopping pattern. Additionally or alternatively, a base station may identify a subcarrier offset and/or resource block offset between resources (e.g., a resource grid) used for eMTC protocol and resources used for NR. The base station may transmit a frequency alignment parameter to the UE, and the UE may align narrowbands for eMTC accordingly.
