    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may selectively determine to decode a downlink shared channel multicast transmission based on whether the downlink shared channel includes a retransmission of an initial multicast transmission. A base station may transmit a message in a downlink control channel to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission of the initial multicast transmission. For example, the base station may transmit a group random network temporary identifier, downlink control information with a retransmission indicator bit, or both to indicate if the downlink shared channel is carrying the retransmission. In some cases, the message in the downlink control channel may be received at a layer one (L1) of the UE, and the downlink shared channel transmission may be decoded at L1 of the UE and sent to a layer two (L2) of the UE for processing.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message identifying a set of resources available for a plurality of UEs for transmission of feedback indications of multi-cast (or broadcast) transmission to the plurality of UEs, the set of resources comprising a plurality of subsets of resources, each subset of resources being associated with a corresponding channel metric for each UE of the plurality of UEs receiving the multi-cast transmission. The UE may determine that a feedback indication is to be provided in response to the multi-cast transmission. The UE may select, based at least in part on a channel metric of the UE, a first subset of the plurality of subsets of resources to use for transmitting a feedback message including the feedback indication. The UE may transmit the feedback message for the multi-cast transmission using resources within the selected first subset of resources.

The method also includes selecting an action to perform based on a set of codepoints of the codebook, the set of codepoints comprising: (i) a first combination of codepoints, and (ii) a second combination of codepoints different from the first combination, wherein HARQ feedback calculated from the first combination is equal to HARQ feedback calculated from the second combination.

A UE may receive the WUS mode from the base station. When a UE is configured for relaxed RRM measurements for a first cell and moves to a second cell that supports a relaxed RRM measurement, the UE may return to a regular RRM measurement for a time period. When a UE configured for a WUS mode for a first cell moves to a second cell that supports the WUS mode, the UE may return to the DRX mode or the eDRX mode without the WUS mode for a period of time.
