The method includes: determining that a serving cell changes from a first cell to a second cell; and updating or deleting a current measurement window configuration. The measurement window configuration is used to indicate a time domain position at which a terminal device measures a downlink reference signal. According to the solution provided in this application, when the serving cell of the terminal device changes, the current measurement window configuration of the terminal device is updated or deleted, so that a problem that the measurement window configuration of the terminal device is not applicable to measurement can be resolved to some extent.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method, a communications apparatus, and a storage medium. The communication method includes: sending, by a new master network device, a request to an original master network device, to request context information of a terminal device on the original master network device and an original secondary network device; and receiving the context information of the terminal device on the original master network device and the original secondary network device from the original master network device. The second logical cell includes a 1st logical cell that shares a same physical cell with the source logical cell and/or a 1st logical cell that shares a same physical cell with the failed logical cell. Based on this, a connection failure rate of the terminal device in a RAN sharing scenario can be reduced, and a handover success rate can be improved.

In a multiple connectivity mobility scenario, a terminal device records information related to a secondary network device mobility process to generate a mobility report, and sends the mobility report to a network device. The network device determines, based on content in the mobility report, whether a mobility parameter related to the SN mobility needs to be adjusted. If the mobility parameter needs to be adjusted, the network device performs proper adjustment, thereby improving robustness of secondary network device mobility of the terminal device.
